So what's the verdict on a level 15 cap? Does that mean you get a day or two of hella-fun, then have nothing to do but reroll other chars for the next few weeks until release? I'm debating whether or not I want to pre-order to start playing now.

Depending on how much you play, there's at least a week or more worth of content up to level 15. By then, you'll be several chapters into Book One of the epic quest. Pre-ordering doesn't cost you anything extra, and gives you a cheaper monthly fee (9.95 instead of 14.95).

Not to mention, pre-ordering lets you start your open beta toon at retail launch, so you'll be out of the crowded newbie yards when it goes live.

Level 15 cap is also good so you don't get level 50's just waiting for live to ruin the economy at launch. I think it's a nice tradeoff between giving you something persistent for your efforts without running the risk of ruining the game for others.

I agree. The level cap will give me time to get a few classes up in levels and try them out without having to race.

I never do this, but pre-ordered this one. Even if it ultimately sucks, I just love the story line too much not to at least try it.

Actually I just checked and there aren't any Fry's 'round m'yah, and since it's 10 bucks cheaper there, I guess I'll do the online thing.

I think the lvl 15 caps is a great idea. Its gets you out of the little starter zones but doesn't allow you to farm huge sums of cash. I'll probably just role a class with each race just to see the different starter areas and to help me decide on a main.
