| EvE's only dead for those who either want to quit, or can't recover from their losses. If your not in either category, go try factional warfare or merc life. Not to derail: Goons need to step it up in EU timezone and knock out some of these Smashkill towers. |

+3 Internets | The CSM thing is providing me with endless amusement. Everyone has their own pet project, and the more that they push it the sillier they end up looking (both our guys and their guys). I think the only person who's going to come out of the CSM with even a shred of dignity intact is Hardin - he's been consistently even-handed and the various initiatives he's supporting are pretty much the reasonable ones. I think the whining about capital ships is destined for horrific failure, though - you don't get people spending literally years on skills and then try to take the importance away. Nerfing insanely overpowered stuff like remote Titan AEs? Sure. Getting rid of the importance because you don't like "Capital Ships Online?" Not so much.

| The CSM experiment depresses me not so much in its inability to temper CCP's perennial incompetence (once they've done stuff like remove 4mw from the raptor for fear it would encroach on the harpy's incredibly marketable niche you know it's a lost cause), but in the wasted abilities of the people who actually applied to it. It is of course nothing new that reasonably attractive females can cause the feral hordes of internet to slavishly do anything requested of them, but it is new that they are using their assets to follow inconsequential pursuits such as getting elected to imaginary spaceship counsels. There is so much squandered potential here, I swear to god. If I had their boobs and my wits I could rule the world. Last edited by Tirinal : 06-17-2008 at 07:20 PM. |

| WTB the game shown in that trailer =) Other than the factional warfare it doesn't seem like anything real interesting added to the game. Has anyone tried the factional warfare? Is it just the same old pvping going on but people just earn points for it now? Or are there actually new large scale battles going on now amung people participating in this system. |

| factional warfare is pretty awesome, its a great time to start up in the game if your new. Basically, you have absolutely no entry requirement for this. Pleanty of joe blow 2 day old chars are running around lowsec in cheap ships. The faction gangs can be pretty big and lowsec is easily 5 times as active as it used to be. If you ever wanted to get into eve, now is a great time to check it out. Get into a factional warfare group as fast as possible and go get some fights. |

+7 Internets | PvP is genuinely fun in EVE -- almost anyone would agree with that. PvP really is its own reward. Factional Warfare is intended just to give people some locations and objectives to encourage more PvP, and it's doing a good job of that. The points are completely ancillary. So if you liked EVE in principle but had a difficult time actually finding the PvP, you might find that FW solves some of your problems. |

+2 Internets | The fw is an excellent entry into the non-fag aspect that alot of alliance warfare has degenerated into. I can see many smaller corps sticking around for it for a while, and many pirate corps focusing on the hotspots as it is target city.

| Yeah it's 0.5. Negative standings make it difficult to go afk-autopilot through enemy empire space. C/D but you may encounter NPC fleets that will spawn and neut/web along your flight plan. On a war topic: TDE4 station flipped hands this morning. props to goonswarm for the offensive. It's been a good contract, abit the heavy grind in wk 1. |
