Attacking a BoB pos will be different than attacking ours since we don't share our capital/supercapital pilot accounts and have multiple titan coverage via jump bridges.
I highly doubt none of your cap/supercap pilots share accounts. So Shamus, if the situations were reversed, and it had been Goons taking a cyno jammed QY6, would we see any of your past posts still? =P

As a (maybe) serious response BoB managed to take QY6 on a European holiday with hundreds of battleships and support in their absolute peak hours (and our absolute trough hours). Does this mean cyno-jammers don't need a looking at? It's actually further evidence that cyno-jammers need to be worked on. What other alliance besides RSF and BoB can field 150-200 battleships + support intermingled to take down an undefended cyno-jammer?

It's ok though, I don't remember your titan nerf posts but I imagine you didn't support the changes (since you're so dumb) and that's where your post relates to.
Shit son look that shit up. I'm down with all pos and super cap nerfs. Just like to make fun of goon whining about the topics. Its almost as funny as when bears whine about Jihadswarm.

I should state that I love Jihadswarm. I went into an ice belt in Minnie space and the mackinaws were so thick my smarties took 7 of them. I think the bears are heeding your warnings to stay in minnie space which is good for me.

In order for any of these events to happen the RSF, and especially goons, need a big presence in Delve.
I guess you're awaiting the next coming of Jesus Christ too, don't you

The day of judgement will come BoB. Be sure of that. It just has to be this way. It's unpreventable. Shamus said so.

On a more serious note, I kinda see less and less Goons willing to believe this pseudo religious nonsense. I remember from my Goon days that almost every week some 'Goon in the know' with 'Illumintati access' claimed that BoB is right on the verge of failure cascade. It gets old after a while and probably more and more Goon grunts realize this by now.

Even then, there were perhaps only 100 Goons in the Swarm that were really military active, and perhaps another 50 - 70 Goons that were semi-carebearish but could be assed to an OP every now and then. The rest of Goonswarm was carebearing in Scalding Pass, Detorid or even the fucking Drone Regions deep in the RA backyard.

The legendary RSF blobs came only about when GS could join forces with RA and perhaps some lesser allies. But on it's own it's indeed just a very big pubbie alliance.

I think your numbers are just off. 100-150 is realistic for day-to-day stuff, but for big strategic ops Goonswarm has traditionally (over the past year I've been there) gotten 250-350 goons. For example, in 66-, or 49-, or R97/OOYZ.

I remember a 500 coaltion fleet in 66- but RA made up the bigger part there. I still know that the operations were halted as RA logged off, because it was getting late for them and there weren't enough of us left, even though BoB also went to bed.

In R97/OOYZ the turnout was particularly abysmal. If you remember this was the phase of never ending Scavok OPs, where we tried to take the system for several weeks. Tolon was bitching about the low turnout there and threatening that if it doesn't get better he'll just pack and leave. It was just usual Tolon ranting of course but still.

Sure you would get a peak here and there, if Goons felt that something was really at stake so the even carebear Goons would come, but for an ongoing siege you need steady numbers over several days, perhaps even weeks. And you said yourself that the typical OP consists of 100-150 which concurs with my numbers quite well.

Well, it doesn't really concur with your numbers, unless by "militarily active" and "semi carebear-ish" you mean shows up on every op or every other op. That is hardcore in my book. Personally, I think we have three or four times that many people who show up once every few days, and a small core of 50 or 75 who show up very often.

Anyway, I'm a believer that after moving into NPC Delve these numbers will all double. Already we're getting a ton of goons sitting around at all hours, from what I can see. The other night we had about 175 available in US primetime without any ops even planned, with which we went and broke out of QY6. I don't know if you have an active account on gf.com, but the new op calendar on the forums I think is a really great idea and I bet it gets a ton more people showing up to scheduled stuff.

Fuck the cynojammers - they can keep them as they are.

What the game needs is making space BIG again: no jumpclones, jumpbridges, cynos... gate to gate for everybody for as much jumps as it takes. That'd kill the blob alliances since no one would be able to effectively defend 3+ regions. It'd also mean war campaigns would depend on more elaborated logistics effectively allowing multifront attacks unlike today's pos-centered pvp.

I enjoy Goons+family demolition of the bob empire, but they've accomplished it killing poses and that's what's wrong right now - it's all about the pos sieging.

No kidding - but it's pointless speculation, because CCP have been moving things in the exact opposite direction.

I've been saying for the past 3 years that travel time are too fast in mmo. Especialy in Eve, instant travel make the world small = less immersive = boring.

Yay for the "I want everything ! RIGHT NOW" crew. Instance, insta travel, soloing and all the other sins. Ah the days of racing through half a dozen zones with 2 other guilds to kill Klandicar are long gone

Fuck insta travel, especialy in Eve, but in all other mmo as well.

Travel time in Eve sucks though, worse than other games. This is especially true if you're not in a nano-gang. Most small gang PVP involves jumping around for 2 hours and pvping for 5 minutes as it is.

I think you're confusing travel time (inter-zone) with character speed (intra-zone). Travel time for EVE would be the issues of by WTZ / jump gates, clones/jump clones, cynos, and the more recent jumpbridges.

For EQ travel time would be boats, wiz/dru ports and CoH. Then adding more ports, translocates, PoK stones, etc. The comparison for your complaint would be about jboots/SoW/selos.
