It depends on your corporation or alliance's industrial base. RISE had a horrible industrial base because all the European socialists would bitch about people making a profit. Goons have a good industrial base because they're all Jews.

I know, I've been told that ratting in 0.0 is rather lucrative, and plexes, but I've not done either. I suppose it doesn't really matter with jump clones as you could farm somewhere else, but I'm just curious.
Depends how violent your daily life is. The typical goon loses a fleet battleship every few days or so, which costs them maybe 50 million isk after insurance and corporate reimbursement. Add in incidentals and they are probably spending 100 million isk a week, which is maybe four or five hours of ratting. Not too bad, since you can pretty much rat while mostly alt-tabbed, and stop whenever you please; it's not a very harsh grind.

It totally depends on the person, though, as you could just as easily fly cruisers and frigates and spend about 5 million isk a week instead.

That's why I put it in quotation marks!

Honestly though, Molle wanted people to step on BoB's balls. It's done, and it was done in epic fashion. No other MMO can claim the grand scope of the past few years.

Allow me to point out that nobody likes having their balls stepped on, and Molle certainly did not want people to step on BoB's balls. Rather, he was very sure that nobody possibly could, so he wanted people to try it so he could kick them in the ass.

Hey Goons there is some good Sacul being a raging faggot porn going around. It might be up on your forums.

He is very upset about the lack of honor in game and SHC apparently.

that's a pretty sweet graphic

One thing I noticed is that in the 6 month meeting with the CSM and CCP, they talked about 0.0 being under utilized/empty and too many people staying in empire space.

In a game that is all about the sandbox.. and 0.0 being the epitome of that, why would people NOT head to 0.0 once they had a decent skill/money base? Hell, I'd probably be out there missioning/getting shot up if I could, but 0.0 is explicitly forbidden to Eve Uni and I still have a large part of the learning curve to ascend.

0.0 = DEATH. Ok maybe its not that bad but from what I understand it is really, really, really lawless out there. Some perfectly normal honorable guy with 50mil SP happens upon you might decide hes bored and rape the shit out of you because your not with any corp that matters.

Random gangs of pirates on stargates.

Basically tons of people with 100x more talents, skills, money, ships, fittings and implants are there and if you aren't in a corp that provides you with some protection your dead meat. (and even if you are in a corp that protects you sometimes your still dead meat)

Oh and if that's not enough the NPC's there are deadly if you are geared.

It can be a bit discerning.

I see now. You're one of those people that looks for reasons to be offended. It must be frustrating to go through life like that.

1. A lot of people don't get into EVE because of the sandbox, but because it's one of the few sci-fi MMOs or even sci-fi computer games. The distribution of carebears and "risk takers" among them is the same as in general population - enormously biased towards the first group. Its members are perfectly happy in empire.

2. Players PvEing in 0.0 = loot pinatas + bleeding fish in the shark infested waters. Typing "Nightmare NPCing in Z-6Y, X for group" in 0.0. corp chat will get you more Xes than a DVD aisle in the sex shop.

3. Alliances have no incentive to aggressively recruit newbies. There are plenty of reasons: most activities in 0.0 don't scale well, PvP focus degradation, prestige of holding more space than you need, SP, language or preexisting community barriers that keep cohesion... Those that did (ASCN) failed horribly or get pushed to shittier regions which don't make the headlines.

4. Empire lvl 4 missions give ISK on par with 0.0 activities and their PvE side is more complex.

5. Markets in 0.0 are in general barren so you can't recover your losses as a solo player. It's a chicken and egg problem - not enough people leads to low demand leads to traders not risking going into 0.0 leads to barren market leads to lack of solo players.
