| Poor eve devs - if they don't fix it, they get accused of lazyness and incompetence. If they do, there wiill be calls of favoritism. They gotta need a lot of beer to relax after work - supposing they do have a life after work. |

+2 Internets | stuck at exams, what happened? I see we lost 1 thanatos this morning, is that it? I doubt they will put in a hardware fix for it, prolly just make it bannable or whatever since i dont think they even know how to fix it. Either way we have gotten some good trophies bowling so I cant complain. |

+3 Internets | I wonder if BoB is gonna retaliate against all the big southern entities, or just focus on Goons and RA. TCF, Ka-tet, AAA, and IAC had their own parts to play in this... but I'm not sure there would be a point in taking all of them on.... aside from silly revenge reasons. EDIT - Actually... nevermind... Evil Thug keeps poking the BoB Rhinocerous in the ass with a twig... I'm guessing his alliance gets some attention too. Also, GEK disbanded. Last edited by renaissance : 05-14-2007 at 09:29 AM. |

| So when will those proposed changes take place? Isn't it too late for these changes, if implemented, to make a significant difference in the current war? It seems as if the coalition has already lost. I definitely wasn't rooting for BOB, it's nothing personal, I just think they're too big, and the dev involvement is sketchy. IAC won't abaddon Ra/Goons? Did they ever even really help? I'm IAC, and we rarely seemed to lift a finger to help with the war. We never really attacked FIX or RISE. I would say that Outbreak was a huge distraction for IAC, they essentially owned us daily and inflitrated IAC so that even when we wanted to plan an OP they would crash it. I'm not completely sure if that's an entirely valid excuse though because before Outbreak we never seemed very committed to helping the coalition outside of small frig raids every once in a while. I like IAC, but I joined it to help with the war and I don't feel IAC really contributed. I'm not a cap pilot so maybe I just didn't see out contributions. |

| I'm really not buying anyone claiming that the coalition has lost until we see BoB make serious successful territory recapturing efforts in the South: Keep in mind that while the North has been beaten down hard, the South Coalition is still vastly in the positive in terms of territory gained/lost. And given that there was never any real decent cooperation at all between the North and South, I really don't buy saying "D2 lost so the coalition is losing!!!!". Maybe it was a mistake not to help out the North, but that is still to be determined.

While it certainly cannot be argued that you did infact gain LV's three regions, the only thing that accomplished is pushing LV's most valued corps right into the hands of BoB and MC. So you have a couple regions... I'd say keeping LV intact would have been the better move. LV as an entity could have been bargained with and kept in control. LV as a part of BoB... not so much. It's amazing how this whole thing started out as "The Coalition" and then turned into "The Northern Coalition and The Southern Coaliton" when the north started fucking up. You honestly think the total loss of the Northern front doesn't affect the Southern Coalition? You've lost the multi-front advantage, and now you've lost the numbers advantage... That's why people are saying you are losing.

How hard can it be to copy/paste some of the warp bubble code so that people who don't have access to the POS just stick to the outside edge? Seriously. Last edited by Fog : 05-14-2007 at 11:49 AM.

| Theres one reason and one reason alone that bob is winning. Their allies are happy and work together. The goon/RA allies do it out of fear for what will happen to them if RA suspects they want complexes. Maybe its not THAT bad, but there can be no doubting that the bobites have a much more fluid cooperation going on. The great fact about it all is that D2 is going down to bob's allies. Bob itself has almost no role in the northern war. They are not doing intel, they are not flying caps, they are not providing funding as far as anyone can tell. The only effort they have done for the war directly was one of their titans is supporting the northern alliance forces after D2 revealed that they had a titan they are willing to use, to help even the battlefield. The brutal truth is, that d2 has come under a capswarm of bob pets that started with just youwhat trying to defend their few puny systems in cloudring after intel told them that D2 was going to give their 10/10 away to goon, youwhat's long term mortal enemies. Someone in bob high command saw that youwhat was refusing to die under d2's heals, and decided to send mc up to help them. What should of been a quick and utter defeate quickly turned around into this ongoing offensive on the north, which likely has to be one of the most territorially devestating pushes in the history of the game. What was once just MC and Youwhat has quickly expanded into a gigantic dozen alliance wide offensive. Xelas, Storm armada, Fix, Aftermath Alliance, Fatal are some of the big names coming against d2 and friends. With all those names, we are talking well over 100 caps and numerous more in manpower available for the offensive, without even considering bob's considerable own forces available for disposal. I just dont think d2 has anything that can answer this, and their wiser players know it. Makes me glad, cause i realized on my first damn day fighting for the coalition, that d2 was full of a bunch of ginormous pricks. I wasnt in the war for very long before deciding 'fuck d2' and going neutral pirate. |

The whole idiocy of the Devs allowing the two sides to escalate something like this and forcing their hand instead of them dealing with it initially really reduces my opinion of the Devs.
