In wow, I appreciated some of the scenery, but usually in the same respect
one might be particularly impressed with the background in a certain scene of
an anime or disney animation. It's impressive, just not breath-taking. VG, on
the other hand, has had more than a handful of truly breath-taking moments
for me.

Well my main problem with the VG craphics has to do mostly with the character art (PC and NPC). Most of the landscape is amazing, with the exception of certain trees and bushes (ugh). However, at least for me, it's the characters that really embody the style of the game...or that's what pulls me in anyhow. It's likely why EQ2 never seemed too attractive to me...still, I do like what they've done with the Raki. The more stylized the race in VG, the better it looks imo...which is why the Gnomes and Goblins are likely my favorite in terms of looks.
