VG sales numbers

Anyone know how long it takes before initial sales and sub numbers for a game are released? And where to view them. Thanks.

If they are successful in whatever terms sigil defines success, they or SOE will issue a press release with the numbers. If they aren't, you'll have to wait for the NPD reports and either pay 10 grand for access or wait til someone who has paid the 10k like a news agency to spill the numbers. (I believe they are getting better at tracking Online/digital distribution sales as well, they didn't use to track them at all)

SOE used to report their total subscriber numbers for all SOE games until it dropped drastically after WoW launched, so you'll be out of luck for actual subscriber numbers unless they report them or someone like brad mentions them on the forums or whatever.

Well it won't be the 50,000 that people here predicted.

They'll break 250k, despite the wishes of the haters.

I'd be real surprised to hear that. Not bashing the game, but I just don't see it making those numbers at this time.

First three places I called today were sold out. Not exactly a flop like many want it to be.

Well Ya know the ole memory just ain’t what she used to be.

I received a ship confirmation from EB Games last night and looked it up.

Order Date: 4/19/2006 for Vanguard: Saga of Heroes Online Collector's Guild Edition so there’s one.

sort of forgot about that

Arrived today so I guess I will check it out when I get a chance.

Hope it runs better then the Beta.

I have a feeling Vanguard won't do bad just didn't turn out to be the game for me... maybe I'll check it out again come summer time.

hardware req's(not what the box says, what it actually takes to get something that resembles the screenshots, etc) might end up kicking an otherwise viable game right in the nuts.

Been all over town trying to get a VG box, since I canceled my pre-order like a tard, and can't find a single copy any where. In comparison I had 0 problems finding 2 reg and 2 CE editions of TBC. Does that mean it will be larger than TBC? Of course not but it does mean it will not do any where as near as badly as some of you dumb fucks have predicated.

Anyways, I'm sure the game will do just fine and turn a good profit.

When I was looking for VG, I wasn't the only one looking for it. I expect the game will sell better than the haters have predicted, but what happens after? I just wonder how many people will log in, and see the choppy framerate and smoke pouring out of their comp, and cancel. I might be willing to upgrade (since I was due an upgrade anyway), but how many people are going to say screw it, I am not spending extra?
