+4 Internets | Really wonder about the specifics that you said you can't get into ![]() For example, is that box sales, subscribers, or players? With every box having a buddy pass and CEs having 10, and considering everyone playing is in either a free month or free 10 days they could both be considered a subscriber/player. Anecdotal, but most everyone I know has given out their buddy pass, and with the small number of servers and small load on each, I have a hard time seeing 100k box sales (that would be 200k+ players before fallout), unless churn is through the roof, which is a possibility with the state of the game at this point. the NPD numbers for January come out later today, so we should have some general idea on pre-order/initial box sales soon enough. |

+4 Internets | well he was asked for initial sales and sub numbers and responded with, over 100k. For any other game i'd assume they were just about one and the same for the first month but with the way they've gone with the buddy passes in every box I could see some grey area on this one. It's probably 100k box sales but with server populations where they are either most aren't playing or most didn't give away their buddy passes. |

* * * I've had no issue with GMs not summoning my tombstone -- indeed I've seen a GM clear up the wasteland of tombstones (including a few of mine) left by a Hound of Garm without being petitioned (at least by me). I do have some issues with the fact that the Tsang quest is still not fixed after this patch and drunken sway level I is now pointless (10% dodge/-10% accuracy or 10% haste/5 % dodge/no minus to accuracy -- what stance to choose? what stance to choose...) That's not really CS though. The Developers that visit this forum and vanguardservers/forums have been reasonably patient, fairly informative and pretty helpful oveall and since shit slips through the cracks I'm still willing to give 'em a break -- though they better get that test server up ASAP -- one or two more patches like this and they're going to lose some people.

| I would guess he means subs/accounts at this point because that would be easily trackable internally. A total would probably include all the buddy passes, all access, etc, etc and just be representative of individual accounts created. -shrug- They are the only ones that can tell us really. I am sure they have an easy way to seperate out the 'trial' accounts so he could only be counting full subscriptions not including any buddy passes or all access passes. |

| Seriously, just put me on ignore. You are far worse than I am. If you read the post, you will see that the topic is the effect of good/bad customer service on the long term health of a game. I don't need to play a shitty ass game with shitty ass support to know that fucking over your customers (or at least allowing your customers to get fucked over and not doing anything about it) is a surefire way to drive them off. But you keep playing that 'you don't sub to VG so you can't even acknowledge it's existence' card.

I feel like I'm at a party trying to have a conversation with some other adults but there are a couple of five year old kids screaming for attention from their bedrooms upstairs so everytime we start a conversation we have to stop and send someone to try and put them back to bed.
