I've heard so many people love the game and hate the game and the ONLY reason I bought the game is because it created such passion in so many people good or bad. They had to do something there to make it worth seeing, at least for one month.

Love it

I love the game! I have a 7900GTX, 2 Gigs of bueno ram, and an average hard drive with an AMD 64 X2 4200 processor. I don't lag in Khal but HZ sucks balls still.

Off to the desert, see you all in game sometime soon (tm), I hope.

edit I think the game will succeed. It is an awesome world with awesome quests and the lore is nice. For all the pissing and moaning, it really is quite fun without all the BNet WoW Kiddie assfuckery.

So then completely different people are playing the game since its gone live? Cause in beta all of the /shout channel sounded like barrens/elwynn forest chat.

Yea, I shut off all the 'global' chats in Beta. Those fuckers were just as annoying as WoW people. Well I hated EQ people too. Maybe I'm just getting old.

Remember WoW is like the Jupiter of our solar system. Attracting all the idiots. :P

What a joke. If any of you muppets need a VG box, PM me, I can mail you one of the 28 unsold copies of my local gamestore. Pretty sure I can get a percentage on it to, since the guy behind the counter spoke of "no demand".

250k sales ? With a retention rate of 5% its bound to be a succes !
Wait, with a retention rate of 70% it would fall below current EQ1 subscriptions .. and last time I heard VG content was a lot more expensive to design then EQ content, so there you have your future prospects.

VG, at best, will do slightly worse then EQ 1 is doing 8 years after release, with, at best, high priced small content updates.

Oh but they will bring in more people, as time passes, and hardware becomes available, and aliens share their technology with us .. yea we can compare that to EQ2 strategy, and while the game turned out nicely, it could hardly be called a grand succes.

I considered getting it for the Station Pass. EQ1, EQ2, Vanguard, and some others...for $25/month?. Pretty nice deal, imo.

Same here. After i played for like 2 days in beta, i told myself, no fucking way am i going to play on release, i cant even move without lagging to hell. Well, i gave in and bought it anyways, and the game runs fine on high performance. I need to get another gig of ram which i am going to do shortly. I by NO means have a top of the line computer either.

Whatever Brad and Co. Did to improve performance good job. I will be playing it for a while at least til i taste the high end game and see what its about.

I played beta from the beginning of phase 3, and when I first got in I was so hyped... after a couple hours I told myself I wouldn't buy the game at release, but I checked the updates and patches frequently to see what was up. The changes and improvements that happened within the past month went way beyond my expectations, so I bought the game and am having a blast with it!

Well the game looks promising, all negative feedback aside. If nothing else, I hope it suceeds enough to allow Sigil to provide the best product and services to its current and future customers as long as possible.

Competition is a good thing. Having options is a good thing. More than one successful MMO is a good thing.

I never understood the mentality of bashing a game because "you" yourself aren't playing it. I understand half the planet is playing WoW, and it's a very good game for the majority of people playing it. But god damn, do you need to feel so offended and emotionally crippled if someone else doesn't agree, or plays a different game than you?

I know this is off subject but I already created a thread and don't think a new one needs created...but anyone else notice the entire EULA never mentions Sigil? Since it's Sigil's game shouldn't they be the ones in the EULA not Sony Online Entertainment?

How many box sales did EQ1 have in its first month? I'm willing to bet less than Vanguard will. It added subscribers over time. People will get bored with Burning Crusade in 45 more days and try it out.
