Shadowbane has been free, but what do you think about it?

I just started playing Shadowbane with a couple of my friends on the "wrath" server. It seems pretty fun so far, but we'll see how end game turns out. Basically this is an MMO that didn't quite take off and eventually it became free. Try it out if you have some time. Hopefully it's good and hopefully we have a nice population to play with.

I'm not far in and don't know if i completely love the game yet. Aside from lack of great graphics are there any shadowbane players that have something to say about this game? If you haven't heard about it being free look below this.

I know this is old news, but i never gave this game a try, and was wondering what players who've played it think.

I think there has been some discussion on the boards about the problems with shadowbane, easy enough to find out though.

the fact thats its free should tell you something about the quality of the game.

This game, in it's prime, was without a doubt the best sandbox PvP around.

Shadowbane's time however, has passed. On the horizon are no worthy successors.

Shame.

It's a sandbox PvP game, so it doesn't really need content updates. What it does need is players to make the game work, and it doesn't really have them anymore.

100% correct. Never had more fun playing an mmo for the year plus I played Shadowbane. Problem with it is no one plays so there's really no one to kill...
