God, world war 2 arguments, jesus come quickly...

The point is not that getting to 70 first isn't some great accomplishment, or worth bragging about. The REAL POINT is that he did it with his ENTIRE GUILD castrating their OWN leveling to bring it about. He made 30 some odd people sacrifice tens of hours of leveling, just to get HIM to 70. This gives you a guild of one 70, and 39 62-64s, when you could have 40 66-68s or so? Bad move I think, and while sure it's nice to brag about, it's still a stupid move if your guild wants to complete for RAID firsts.

Sorry to drop a surrender joke and turn this into a bad discussion on which of the 3 powers (none of which are france anyway) did the most in an irrelevent war.

If it weren't for julius ceasar, france would have been speaking german, or close to it, all along.

French gets it's vocabulary from Latin, but it's grammer from German as it is. It's decended from Latin, but sure as hell isn't Latin any more than it'd be German (or even anything particularly similar) if they weren't invaded by Rome.

You don't know know what you're talking about.

French vocabulary contains Germanic words (such as guerre = war), but the majority of French words -- in addition to French grammar -- are ultimately derived from the strand of Latin Vulgate spoken in Gaul. French grammar, although it is vastly removed from classical Latin, is actually quite close to Vulgate, for example the way in which noun cases are replaced by preposition clusters.

Someone, please, tell me what possible benefit a raiding guild gains from having 35 people castrate their leveling, to ensure ONE person's is sped up? There is not a single bit of practical use to what they did, none, just a way to wave a big hairy edick around saying hay guyz we're je first!

Whether or not russia did more than britain, the franks did more than the germans, or jesus died for furor, whether or not these things are true... this guild wasted a whole bunch of people's time for no reason. No, it's NOT like the aq gate, unless I missed the memo where having a level 70 opens up new content? I'd also like to know how many guilds stopped raiding bwl so they could farm open AQ, if any, and if they weren't sorely disappointed.
