Thanks for this. I signed up in the vain hope that Richard Garriot has retained his grasp on awesome game making, although this doesn't appear to focus on what he was best at. Or had anything to do with, except for the spaceships in Ultima 1. Even still, it's unique and is his return to gaming after a ten (?) year hiatus and although I doubt it will have any morality system I'm still intrigued.

Edit: Screens are nice, but I don't see anything spectacular about it. As a matter of fact, it just looks like a Doom 3 mod to me.

Game has gone through a lot of changes, but it looks like they've found what they were looking for. Hope it works out.

Has anyone been following this closely? I'm curious how the game actually plays; is it just a bunch of WoW-esque battleground type fights (instancing?) or is there an actual world that this takes place on that has cities/dungeons/NPC mobs/etc.

Sadly, from what I've read this is going to be ala Guildwars in that you have cities with teleports to whatever your hearts desire. That includes pve and pvp battlegrounds, all with specific missions and objectives. Personally, I'm not just looking to pay 15 dollars a month for a fps/rpg hybrid but I'll see how it goes.
