Not interested in the Guild Wars setup, but it sounds interesting, nonetheless. Would rather see an open-ended world set in a Sci-Fi setting (UO in the future, I guess?); ah well.

Doesn't seem to be a ton of info on their site, unfortunately. Since they went into blackout and revamped the entire game, they've apparently been very guarded as to what information they let out. I'll be interested to give it a try. It does look like, if nothing else, it could be unique.

I played this game when it was in free alpha or whatever... a long long time ago. I liked it a lot. Huuuuuuuge potential in this game if they stick with what they have(had) and just build upon that and flesh it out. Tons of fun right off the bat, I liked the combat a lot, especially- it's probably the least rock-paper-scissors mmo i've ever played- every fight will go differently (and unpredictably) which makes for a lot of dramatic moments. Only was able to play for two days, the play session ended.

That said, this company is pretty slow at getting this game on the road so far.. I wouldn't get my hopes up anytime soon.

Signed up, has been one of those games on the fringes as far as games I wanted to play. Does it seem ilke a 2nd Gen Planetside?

Why does every damn sci-fi MMO need to look so damn depressing?

Looks like it could be a fun action game...I'm interested to see what RPG elements it actually uses. As usual, beautiful screenshots from an NCSoft game.

That's because players are supposed to save the world from that gloom!

Ive been following this game for awhile now and its shaping up nicely in terms of graphics. My only concern is what will the physics model look like during fighting? Will bombs and such cause people to knock back in an AE style? That would be nice because these types of scifi games have to rely heavily on proper physics to seem realistic (whatever that is). Here's hoping for a spot in beta.

what is with those fucking recommended specs? That's absolutely ridiculous. Also, while the screens are impressive, they aren't very impressive for the recommended specs. I expected something that was jump out of my fucking screen amazing for requiring basically a PC under a year old for "recommended" level.

I've been waiting for the beta sign ups for this. It looks like it could be a fun game to play for a while. I don't blame them for asking initial testers to have recommended specs. When the game is released it will be pretty much low end specs. People with low end PCs are more likely to give up on the beta if they don't get a lot of performance out of the early game.

That's essentially what Planetside was. And from looking at the website, this really looks like Planetside 2. Although are all the enemies AI controlled in this? That would be a huge difference, but AI in FPS is almost always exploitable.

Its beta, they have not exactly streamlined preformance issues, I guess they recognize this and put the recommended specs high just to be able to lower them later when polish has been applied.

So it's a good and evil thing then? Why do companies set them selves up for such imbalance like that? Why can't they just be two warring sides that are both evil or both vying for universe domination, or something of the sort.

Can already foresee that the human-looking, more attractive, good race will have uneven numbers over the evil aliens.

Good link though. Signed up and looking forward to it. My specs are somewhere between min and recommended, though my Radeon 9800 is gonna have to wheeze and moan until I get the next ATi.

Unless they changed something recently about TR, everyone is a human and the Bane are purely NPCs. PVP is a clan vs. clan thing.
