| My five cents on NDAs. Yes, it's a breach whether it's long or short, positive or negative. At the same time, I would be very surprised to see a firm sue someone for giving positive publicity without revealing any trade secrets or other damaging or secret information that will adversely impact the marketing or sale of the product. You see, you usually need to establish damages in a cause of action, and if there are no damages that can be proved then it's a dog of a case to take to Court. So as far as Aria is concerned, that's a no no, as far as Arbuste, it's much more foggy since he is simply confirming information that's already publicly available and not harming the makers of TR. There you go, my five cents, do not sue me for malpractice this is not meant to be legal advice, and all those disclaimers. /rant is off.

Anyways, I guess my opinion is unpopular, but again it's just my opinion. I honestly just don't think the game (at least in it's current state) is something that's going to be groundbreaking. Obviously a lot of people enjoy it, so just take what I said as a personal opinion. If people have a problem with us breaking NDA then I just won't post in this thread anymore.

People should continue to break any/all nda's, it's pro consumer. The sooner companies realize that they can't both get free Q&A and control all information about the game before it hits the shelf, the sooner they'll either stop making shitty games (consumer wins), or they'll hire real test teams (consumer wins) Any pro-NDA people are really just faggots who think consumers should get fucked before a business's bottom line.

WoW in any case is more the exception rather than the rule. It's a behemoth that started out great and came out even greater. Unfortunately most MMO's are nothing more than a dream that is never fully realized, IMO of course.

When I legally agree to something, I tend to not try very hard to keep it if I think I can get away with it. At least when it's unimportant and harmless for both parties. Could even be beneficial for TR, who knows. In any case, I don't think it hurts anybody. The only reason a thread like this is worth reading is for the NDA breaking bean spilling stuff.
