Would this lead to women as a whole to have less physical str on their chars in games (yeah I generalized)? Would physically bigger players have stronger virtual representations of themselves? Since there is no measure of intelligence with the "wii-motish" controller, does this put people who would physically want to side with the sci-fi representation of a mage at a disadvantage (if looking at it from the classic mage higher int, fighter higher str standpoint) the wiimote can measure str to a point (giving a large spectrum for physical prowess to effect the game) but it can't measure a players "int" (keeping no difference in mages as a whole).
Uh, what? No one would ever want someone to swing a remote around with their full strength. Are the morons breaking their TVs not enough for you?

You want to design to MINIMIZE the speed and strength of the movements you need to make, not design so that the game depends on you swinging it around like a maniac. It's still a game meant to be played in the home. What you're talking about is something more suited for a virtual training game played in a gym, not an mmog.

Dunno about everyone else but playing a video game with anything other then your thumbs(unless pc of course) seems fucking retarded to me. All those interactive arcade shooters and boxing games just really annoy me.

The wii-mote is just as retarded as DDR games.

Well, retarded people need video games too. That's why we have our guitar heroes and DDR's. Personally I'm waiting for Headbanging Revolution Heroes where you strap on an electronic skull cap and headbang your way to a high score!

The wiimote as a gimic is already starting to get tiring. The first game to introduce fencing with the wiimote will revitalize it for a bit and then it'll go back to being "oh boy?" A fishing game might bring out a little more life maybe. Don't get me wrong, it's fun to introduce someone to it and watch as they swing the wiimote around like a madman. But then they learn that you can sit down and still throw 95 mph fastballs and get strikes every time in bowling etc...etc...and it loses much of it's luster.

Anyways, that's been discussed to death in the OG forum.

Being left-handed and using a right-handed mouse really made that game a treat.
