| The arguement is it's a violation of privacy, despite that there are other things that require "violations of privacy" to do. Can't get into Six Flags without going through a metal detector first. Can't call someone on the phone who blocks private numbers unless you temporarily unblock your number. You can't (always) use your credit card unless you give the machine your zip code. Frankly, I think Blizzard will win this, but none of us really know what the fuck we're talking about. This thread should have stopped after the first page and started up again after the ruling. |

| Well, there are computer misuse acts even in the States. If it even does a smidge more than you agree to (and afaik it only talks about what you agree in very general terms) it could possibly be illegal...not that I'm exactly condoning that claim IIRC some European countries have computer misuse acts to the point where you CAN'T agree-away certain things, which would make it illegal period |
