They're mostly small gang pvp ships and pve complex tankers.

With fleet pvp focus firing and the lack of range medium turrets have it's somewhat meh. No insurance payout also stings. No real reason to use them in missions over a BS either.

The above holds for pretty much all SP amounts, since you need a pretty hefty investment to use them in the first place. There are some exceptions though, a la Eagle.

They really are great ships for pvp and all around, but you need to be ready to get assraped. They are high priority targets in fleet ops, and among the first targets to get called primary usually. I'd much rather take a battlecruiser to fleet pvp, because you can bring as much/more firepower without the whole being the die first bitch.

Question: If you abort a mission half way through does it prevent you from getting to a 10 faction standing with that agent?

I screwed up on a mission and since petitions seem to take forever, I gave up on it, I didn't think it would matter that much. I went from 10 down to 9.5 faction with the agent, and since then I haven't moved off the 9.5 rating. I have done at least 10 to 15 missions with that agent after.

Thanks.

You lose a little faction but it doesn't prevent it. If you look at the log of what you gain while you're doing missions you'll see that it's a percentage and not a fixed amount. You gain whatever that percentage is of whatever you have left to gain. This makes getting anything higher than 9.0 highly difficult and time consuming. (oops this applies to corps/factions)

10 for an agent, no. But 9.0 for a faction is a faction frigate, 9.25 is a faction cruiser and 9.5 is a faction battleship. Not sure on how many runs you get with those or if they're pre-built but you get them flat out for free. There might be other bonuses at higher faction levels, I'm unsure though. At one point it was rumored that you could get the elite stat implants at 10, but whether or not that's actually possible now nobody knows :P

Unless it's changed again and I'm out of date (and I could be), it's like 9.96 or 9.98 for the Battleship (1 run bpc, used to be 2), 9.5 for the cruiser and 9.2 for the frigate.

All BPC's and require Tag turn ins I think.

Again, could've changed.

What about the prebuilts, you get a prebuilt CNR at 600k LP according to most lists I've seen, there a standing requirement for those?

No standing requirement, just the LP's. It is random, though, as they are offers, but you are eligible to get the 600k offer after ou pass that number.

I've got the 500k bpc offer at 512k, for example..some people gunning for the 600k prebuilt didn't get it til like 812k or 1 million, amusingly.

Must have been nice. I'm still in the mid 7's of Caldari. It's not realistic to go the Empire faction route to get the free ships.

I wonder what the rewards will be when factional warfare is intro'd, though? Hmmm....

I don't think anybody really knows. I'd assume it's supposed to let the "trapped" Empire dwellers engage in wars against each Empire's natural enemy for isk and glory and rewards, but....no idea

"FoH." You'll also be defaulted into a newbie help channel for your first 30 days, which is a fairly decent source of info if you don't mind the mouthbreathers.
