I can't think of any corps that are so anti-pirate they won't accept reformed pirates - the roleplaying alliances(CVA/U'K) might be that hardcore but if you'd really decided that it wasn't for you then you could probably persuade them. There's not really any particular stigma to piracy that I've noticed, and most of EVE's famous personalities have been pirate at one point or another.

There's not really much danger of anti-pirates unless you're going to some very specific areas of space(Providence).
I'm sure the answer is different for everybody, but lets say I join Sniggwaffe and I gank a bunch of miners/mission runners. Then I hit the 5mil SP that most other corps are looking for so that I can do more structured PvP and help a corp gain/hold territory or whatever. It won't really be an issue that I might have blown up some of their logistical corps miners? If that's the case then this probably is a good idea to at least get some action going in the near future.

For the most part Snigg doesn't target 0.0 powers, IIRC. I think they mess around in Great Wildlands a lot, but I've mostly seen them in Minmatar lowsec like Amamake and the like. It seems like it would be a fun opportunity to see the pirate side of EVE, and the worst case is that you decide you don't like it and leave the corp.

Is there anything else to do other than run missions if you want to do PvP eventually??
yes, PVP.

Join a pirate/anti-pirate corp/alliance in low sec and learn how to kill people. There hundreds of small corp/small alliances out there on both sides of the fence who are more interested in the player's ability and play time than they are in his character's SP. Many of them will supply frigates and basic mods to outfit them for their pilots as well, so the lack of grinding ISK shouldn't be that large of a concern. This isn't a jab at you specifically or anything, but alot of players coming from other mmo's are so set in the "level up first then start doing what you want to do" mindset. The only "leveling" in the game is skill training which occurs at a set rate and occurs regardless if you are mining, missioning, pvping, or whacking it to hentai. That being said, "only fly what you can afford to replace" is still true, but far too many people take that as you have to mission/mine away bored to tears in empire for months to save up the dough to 'start' pvping, when it should mean you pvp in frigates until you can afford better. PVP ship/skill progression is quite natural just like pve is. Too many people take the bare minimum skill requirements up to PVE Battleships for missioning efficiency so they can earn ISK for "PVP". That's great if you are smart about it, use those funds as a security blanket and then approach PVP as newb again and fly frigates. Too many though jump straight into PVP in their minimally skilled PVE BS's and lose 100m isk everytime they undock.

btw if you want to join a 0.0 pvp corp you're far more likely to get in as a pirate than as someone who carebear missioned in empire for 6 months.

I think the intel is pretty good if by 0.0 powers you are not talking about the odd industrial now and then and NPCers =)

If you say powers you usually talk about major alliances and i am pretty sure that SNIGG does NOT target any of those who defend themselves (i am not considering ISS for example as a 0.0 "power" btw )

If you are actually doing it still and i haven't heard of it then it was WELL CONCEALED and i would love it if someone could point me to that area, because i am sure there is a lot of fun to be had.

The Sniggwaffe recruitment thread on the EVE forums says closed. Guess I'll have to see if Wild gets in to see if that's the case or not. Ran a complex last night with another player, was a nice change of pace from mission running at least :-)

Changes from corp to corp. It also matters much more if the guys you popped are still in the corp.

What is a good entry level corp that gets its hands dirty with these large scale wars? I want something involved in these large alliance fights.

Try to get in a small corp of a large alliance, aim for the small corps, those will recruit anyone who has a fairly clean employement history. Usually the biggest corp of large alliance are uber-like, but you don't need to be part of them to pvp with them, if you're in the same alliance you'll be able to join their op.

Yeah, not sure what crack I was smoking. Took a bit of work to find their website, I'll join their recruitment channel tonight and see how it goes.

Most fun I've ever had losing a ship for sure! Was pure awesome and definately more fun than mission running alone.
