Is it worth it to go back to light missiles though? My heavy's still usually hit for over 100 with a range that pretty much is untouchable, but I'll run a few and see how it performs.

If your heavies are hitting moving frigs for 100 I'd be surprised. Mine hit for about 27-60.

I use heavies against frigates a lot also, but I have most of the skills in missiles that help, and I use 2 target painters which help a huge amount.

Assualts should hit for more on frigates, 150+. With missile projection 3, bombardment 3, and frigate 4, you should have a 40+k range with light missiles in a caracal.

Without target painters you should notice a night and day difference.

I just lost my hurricane and a shit ton of named crap--which now leads me to should I reroll my 6.6 mil sp toon with shitty stats and odd skill choice for a op'd achura? Since we are both broke now it is an intriguing choice.

I think you'd be really hard pressed to get more benefit out of starting a new char rather than continuing the old. Unless all your SP is in mining and corp management, losing nearly 6 million SP will not be reclaimed any time soon.

i got 5x heavies, which i should probably upgrade to some sort of named or downgrade to assaults, a medium shield booster and 2 invuln shields, just because i keep running into different enemy npcs in my mission running.

If I'm going to run level 2s in a Battlecruiser, (don't have the standing to get level 3s yet) should I equip all small lasers or will mediums work as well?

Unless you have a lot of skill with drones you will want small lasers for the frigates. maybe 50/50 small/med.

Eve is pretty forgiving when starting over. Use the old character to make isk while you train the new character offline.

If you could have a team of 3 what ship would you choose for pvp to be most effective?

These are the restrictions:
- Value of ship must be under 100 million isk.
- Ship must be the same for all 3.
