| Anyone know if any new BPO's will be seeded through the lottery? If so which ones? Would be pretty damn nice to have an eve-mail from one of my research agents when I log in.. |

+2 Internets | theres some new tech 2 missiles i think and the new heavy assault launcher that might get seeded. I think alot of the new stuff is being seeded as the new research offer bpc things tho so theres prolly not many bpos going out. |

| Do you think EVE would ever put into effect that doing certain missions would allow you to learn skills faster as a reward? This would of course be capped up to a certain skill-level, but would help new players like myself get into the game faster. I didn't find enough motivation to do a lot of the missions and it got boring quickly. Especially when every quest I saw was, currier this and that and travel was just like AFKing on a flightpath in WOW. Perhaps because I was new I didn't alternatives or perhaps because I was playing by myself without knowing anyone it got boring. |

| Agents belong to several different divisions. Each division offers different types of missions. If you are looking for kill-type missions, seek agents working for the security, internal security, surveillance, command divisions. edit: i'm gonna end up writing a newcomers guide for people coming from the eq/wow side of things I think, some questions get asked over and over. |

| I think instead of training skill passively I think you should just accumulate generic exp over-time and then you can just apply it to the skill you want to train. Juggling your RL schedule so that you can be logged in for the exact 5 minute period when your skill is done training so you can start training the next skill is pretty ghey. Maybe NPC missions could award generic exp as well so that noobs to the game don't have to wait 3 months before they can start playing with everyone else. Wouldn't have to cap it at any specific level, just make the rewards like 200-300sp per mission so that doing a bunch is enough to train up some basic T1 skills for like 1-2ksp each, but not even close for the higher tier skills which are much higher sp-cost. Definitely need to retool the UI, or at least make it moddable so someone else can... that thing is definitely not noob friendly. Warping to 0km will make long jumps less painful cause you won't have to wait 5 minutes to slowly approach each gate. All-in-all lots of things that could be done to make that game more interesting. I think they will get it eventually. |

+2 Internets | Skill training really isnt that bad now, other than letting you queue an extra skill i dont think it needs any work. The new changes to learning skills and starting sp make the newb experience alot easier, you can now realistically be in a T2 fitted interceptor after only 2 weeks of training, that makes you a great tackle and useful in basically all fleet combat. And the learning skills are down to prolly like 3 weeks of training max to get base5,adv4. At this point i guess they could add another tier of learning skills to help new players, but its already gay to have to train up the ones there are... Giving sp for missions would fuck over the 0.0 and mining/indie crowd way to much to be viable... as it is you are quickly useful to a fleet.. not as a main BS pilot but still.. i know in LV we need tackles as much or sometimes more than we need an extra snipe BS. The UI is OK in some respects, in others its absymal. The chat interface really needs a massive overhaul, maybe when they get rid of local we will see the chat interface overhauled with stuff like /tell... i love the option to have seperate windows but its annoying that i dont have the option to combine them if i want to... theres some reasons like the new standings in chat to keep the system sorta like it is, but other than local it could be alot better.. the convo system is so unintuitive compared to tells or chat channels like wow has. | How did the patch cut half the training time off the learning skills? It used to take like six weeks to get them all to 5/4, and they're still the same amount of SP. A character that starts out with 9/9/9/9 in the four stats will still require 6.1 days for each 4->5 on the Tier 1 learning skills, and 3.23 days for each 3->4 on the Tier 2 skills. That's 37.32 days just for those, plus whatever time it takes to do 1->4 on the base skills and 1->4 on Learning itself.

| Yeah, I factored that in. 1-4 Tier 1, then 1-3 Tier 2, then 4-5 Tier 1, then 3-4 Tier 2. I did the T1 4-5 calc assuming 16 in both primary and secondary stats, then the T2 3-4 assuming 17 in both.
