in EvE - Hmmm...I guess my friend didnt train as much as I thought, but /shrug. He quit EVE and just got a kidney transplant, so I guess I wont say much of anything to him about it lol. The name is just horrible; I dont know what I was thinking. And yeah, I know, I chose skills all over the place. I had started wanting to fly recon/stealth-bomb and the like, but I just ended up doing missions ![]() | |

| in EvE - Here is my character and I could use some advice on where to go. Right now I'm flying lvl4 missions in a Raven for the Republic Fleet. Gang fights and some type of support role are what interest me. I always find my self looking at Command Ship but the training time puts me off. The Rupture has been my favorite ship so far. I'm not sold on any wpn type. Right now I'm really stuck on whether or not I should just stick with Caldari or focus on the Min shield ships(but have armor skills to). The proposed changes to the Caldari gun cruisers are making it even harder to decide. Last edited by Laek : 02-05-2008 at 02:08 PM. |

| Well I'll give it a shot. It sounds like you're indecisive as to what ship you want to fly. So when someone is like that. I usually recommend they train the sort of things that benefit most if not all ships. Drones: I would get Drone Navigation and Sharpshooting up to at least IV. I think everyone should have Drone Interfacing V, but Caldari need drones the least. Electronics: Get Sig Analysis up to V since you need that for recons. Targetting to IV or V. Engineering: Get Energy Management to V. Its good to have that anyways and it gives you access to Heat. Energy Systems to V and Shield Upgrades to IV. Gunnery: Since you're thinking Minmater. Work for Tech II medium guns (Projectile) Buy the skills Trajectory Analysis and Surgical Strike and train them to IV. Long term think about getting Advanced Weapon Upgrades to V Missiles: If you want to PVP with your Raven go for Torp Specialization and skill up some of the missile skills. Navigation: Get Acceleration Control, Evasive Maneuvering, and High Speed Man up to at least IV. Will make all your ships faster, more agile, and get you tech 2 mwd. Spaceship Command: This sort of boils down to what you like. You mention you fly the Raven for missions so maybe you feel more comfortable in these types of boats. In that case I'd say skill up Caldari Battleships and Battlecruisers so you can take advantage of the Drake and Raven. If you like the Rupture then maybe Minnie Hac's will float your boat. The Muninn isn't that much better then the Rupture but you do get T2 resists and then there is the Vaga. Hope that helps. |

| Well, if small gang warfare is your thing go for recons, they might not be the big DPS machines, but both the minmatar and the caldari ones are nasty in small gang warfare. Falcon for putting several of your opponents completely out of the combat and curse for breaking any non-cap tank in a few cycles. If you prefer to solo some too go for the curse instead of the falcon, as the ability of the curse to completely neuter pretty much any tank gives it the upper hand compared to a falcon for soloing. |
