Nah, the people that actually speak in the FOH channel do give decent advice, among other things. They will rightfully encourage you to forget your carebearing ways and find where the fun is at.

We need new blood. I know everyone in channel fairly well and I need fresh meat to rend entertainment from.

Anyone have any information on current Hi-sec PoS's? I'm talking best use of a 0.5 PoS, what can and can't be done (moon mining I'm guessing from memory is a no-go). I found a good system but damn if every moon has a PoS already so I've moved my ideas to a nearby system.

What makes a good hi-sec PoS system?

Truthfully, high-sec POSes have a lot less factors determining what makes them "good." In 0.0, you have to worry about what moon minerals are there, what systems surround you, how well you can defend it, etc... For a high-sec POS, really just put it in a system you like to hang out in/near. And try to make sure you have a supply of starbase charters/fuel, whether earned or bought. There's nothing worse than having to make 30 jumps in a hauler full of heavy water.

Also bear in mind, the only thing a high-sec POS provides(other than the coolness of owning a big bubble) is research and production capabilities. Since you can't moon mine, and you have NPC stations nearby with unlimited storage space for all your ships and stuff, it doesn't really provide anything as far as those are concerned.

true but considering the absolute lack of research slots available in empire, 2-3 mobile labs can be worth their weight in gold.

Thanks for the replies. And yes, it's going to be for research and production only really. Luckily I've found a spot right next to an ice field and my research/production/mining alt is about ready to start harvesting and processing blue ice plus I want to start doing efficiency research on some of my BPO's and start turning all my salvage into various rigs for my use/selling.

Okay, I'm down to two systems. Both are .5, one is next to a blue ice field, the other isn't as close. One has no NPC stations, the other has a few. Both are roughly the same distance from a good trade hub and both have safe routes to said trade hub. No NPC stations mean anthing? One system is barren withtons of moons and no NPC stations. Other has tons of moons and a couple NPC stations. I'm about a week from dropping my POS somewhere so any advice is appreciated.
