| Most people do not fit MWDs while ratting. It takes 25% off max cap Most ratters like cap or rat in Ravens anyway. a MWD BS you can actually keep up with because of how slow they accelerate and the cap it burns. Thats the problem with the arazu anyway, it can't kill people at gates or people with MWDs not matter the setup. Thats why the Rapier is its perfect partner. Also i don't see how 51km changes anything at all i orbit at 55km. I have killed plenty of ships in my arazu both solo and group and have held down faction ships for backup. I don't doubt it's a good setup though, especially if you have reinforcements to call in. | |

I'm curious how people fit Megathrons. Aside from the tracking enhancer/mag stab sniping fit and the in your face blasterthrons, does anyone fit to engage at around 50-80k anymore and still have some tank? I see less extreme range sniping these days than sub 100k fighting. I'd like recommendations on fittings with T1 guns and T2 everything else as that's pretty much what i have. WU5/AWU4 elec5/eng5 of course. If there is a better ship for this type of goal i'm all ears.

ya, you know i completely forgot about the Range bonus from the electronic warfare drone skill that being said i am 76 kills no losses so far in my arazu so i am guessing no one really trains it. Middle School Comedy Club Killboard Killboard - Pilot details - Alchemos

I have it trained to 3 and I'm only at about 4M SP currently. I can't believe anyone who uses drones is missing that skill. Not just for the range either, ECM drones own. I agree with Fog, I think it's much more likely they can't target you and are instead trying to pop your drones with theirs. That's what I'd do anyway, just try to stall you until I could get backup since my tank would hold forever. I can see people with active tanks that require something in nos range to sustain having a problem though. Last edited by Vorph : 07-15-2007 at 01:53 PM.

You know, getting into a decent 0.0 corp is harder than what I am reading in earlier parts of this thread. Even when I check recruitment threads that appear to be pretty open I read the fine print and see "5m sp required" or some other larger number. I do understand that 5m sp isn't a huge number. I do understand that it blows sitting here in empire. I basically have 3 options. 1: I can go on suicide missions to 0.0 and get blown up over and over. 2: I sit and pay for my account till i have the sp to get my feet wet in a corp 3: go play wow! I know its a rant but I like eve and was wanting to join a corp this afternoon ![]()

Eve University is a corp that specializes in recruiting new players and introducing them to some of the concepts that are a little difficult to get the hang of. Things like learning how to fly in fleets and the different roles and setups for 0.0. I never joined myself, but it sounds like a pretty good deal. I suppose I'd be happy to sponsor a couple of people for CoW, as well. It's not for everybody, but I'm having quite a lot of fun doing the remote repping thing.

I'm one of those folks that formed my own corp. Having said that, I have alot of respect for EVE University. I'd be happy to join them but the sense I got awhile back was folks like me with alot of sp's weren't as welcome as newer players. IE 10m sp empire weenies....lol.
