+2 Internets | what's the deal with COSMOS agents. i've heard the name tossed around but i'm not familiar with this concept at all. and i'm INCREDIBLY interested in the best way to get faction fast. |

B) If you can warp while cloaked (covops or recon), you can probably cloak and warp before anyone can find you, unless they are fast and a little lucky. C) If you can neither warp nor move fast while cloaked, then you may or may not survive. A gatecamp will probably send fast ships (drones are a bonus) toward and around your last visible location, trying to discover you. Depending on their number, memory, skill, and speed, perhaps they will find you and perhaps you will make it away.

| Thanks for the replies Wilfan and Chmodux. Guess I've got some decisions to make. 0.5 and no carrier/moon mining but Concord protection(maybe). 0.4Carrier yes but no moon mining and no Concord protection. Or 0.3 Carrier yes moon mining yes and still no Concord protection. Hrm. Oh, and I'm sitting around 4.52 Gallente faction so the reason I mentioned 0.5 right off the bat was I should be hitting 5.0 not too far off and also because theoretically Concord should defend me in 0.5. Perhaps I should do as another mentioned and find that 'quiet dead end 0.3' system and move there instead. ![]() Last edited by Greyskye : 06-19-2007 at 02:55 PM. |

Lots of information there on the race specific cosmos agents on the left hand side. Gallente have like 7, caldari like 999999 agents. They're just like regular missions but every 3-4 missions you get a story line. You can't keep doing them, they're a once per character deal. Almost all of them can be down in a cruiser or smaller (the vast majority dont' take anything larger then that). Very good rewards though. Also for the people interested in alts look at it this way, to pay for an alt it's roughly 4.6 mill/day to buy a 90 day GTC. The character just has to make that much per day to pay for itself, which is actually not that bad. I have 5 accounts (yes I'm a bit extreme), 2 miners, 2 combat pilots, 1 Science/Capital pilot. The science character makes enough in passive income/mild upkeep for invention to pay for itself and 2 other chars. The miners I use to make isk to purchase toys, they could technically pay for themselves in a days worth of mining. I dunno, the more specialized industry characters you have, the more potential isk generation you can do. I'm happy with 5, I make more then enough isk for me to do whatever I want for a long time. Theres people out there with 15-20 characters that buy T2 BPOs like they're collector baseball cards. It's just about how you use the character and how much effort you want to put into management. So another factor you have to weigh is "Are there any bored grief type corps nearby who might be happy to spend 1m to wardec your 1 man corp and blow your POS up for shits n giggles?" (Change the number of corp people and wardec amount where appropriate.) Perhaps joining an alliance may change it, there are a few research and "freelance missioners" type alliances about, unless I'm mistaken it will then cost the grief corps more isk to bother you. I was considering playing around with the POS side of the game but for now I've "blown" a big chunk of my pennies on a Navy Mega so its on hold for a while.

Oh, and how are you liking the Navy Mega? I'm a domi pilot myself since I'm a drone nut so the 125m3 drone bay on the thron doesn't thrill me but I've heard with good gunnery skills and knowledge they are beasts. Also, ever tried a Hyperion? I don't seem to see too many of those around. Though the few I do see look, err....'money'!

+4 Internets | I've been, until the last week, an Amarr pilot only, BS 5, AWU4 etc etc. I flew an Apoc and then an Abba on level 4s and made money pretty much hand over fist. It was time for a change and i tried a Domi first but I had got too used to bashing things quickly and the drones were *snore* Okay, i have pretty much 5m in gunnery but jack shit was hybrid so that didnt help So i thought I'd try a megathron but the grey paint job just wasnt all that, so wth, Navy Mega it was. I'd sold 2 characters for 2billion between them that i wasnt going to play anymore, blew a big chunk on GTC's (love that system, looks like I'll never pay to play eve again other than my own time!) and then threw 750m on the Mega. Anyways, back on topic, its great. Even with only BS3 and Large Hybrid 3 it deals some damn good damage using 350 Prototypes and antimatter ammo plus the 125 drone bay means i pack 4 x Large Ogre 1s and 5 x Light Hammerhead t2s. I was frankly amazed at how much quicker the lights were at killing the trash (for want of a better term, i think it fits!) and once they are gone throwing the heavies at the annoyingly fast cruisers that are left then helping to bash away at the 1m plus BS tanks. I suspect I will be selling the Abba on contract within the week (Abba plus 3 x ccc rigs, good price, contact me ) as I am more than happy with the Mega. Fitting wise its a piece of piss, 2 x ccc rigs and an armour pump. 7 x 350's. 3 cap2s and a tracking comp. 1 x t2 lar, 3-4 t2 hardeners, 2 x mag2, 1 x cpr and if only running 3 hardeners for the sansha/blood raider so it only needs 2 x therm and 1 x em i sometimes throw on a 1600 plate so i can be lazy. I will drag my arse to the nearest seller and buy another mag2 though probably and with the LP store swap out the laser damage implant for a hybrid one.I run level 4s in a 0.8 system with a q20 in Ministry of War. With the new LP store though I might try rebuilding my trashed Gallente faction for some of the ammo. My only regret at leaving the Abba behind is the damn nice LP offers for faction crystals :-\ Sorry for rambling, i loves my Eve ![]()

+2 Internets | With thet new changes to LP, I can now strait up buy a +4 implant for 12k LP. What i'm wondering however; Is there a set of +4 implants offered higher in the LP charts? if so, should I wait for a more efficient deal? |
