| For anyone looking to get into Eve, here is the best description of your first PvP fight :P I found this hilarious, it's just so true to life. Quote:

| Alright guys. It's Friday, the boss is out of the office, and I'm gonna load up EVE on my laptop and give it a go this afternoon. Why does bordom often cost you the most money? After getting through the tutorial can anyone tell me or point me into the direction of an up-to-date guide as far as start skills etc. Some kind of stuff to look over to learn the basics. |

| First things first: Take the Learning skill to 3. PAY ATTENTION through the tutorial, and start running low level agent missions. Cash, drops, and game experience for the first couple days. That'll hold you through Saturday or so and by then we can have better pointers from the longer term players than I. |

+6 Internets | Well, I have three pieces of advice: - Check out this character creation guide. - Train whatever you want, it doesn't matter. - After the tutorial, your tutorial fellow will add another agent to your buddy list. Go to that guy, he has cool newbie missions. |

| The correct order for Learning is: mem 1 int 1 mem 2 int 2 learning 2 science 3 cybernetics 1 (install +1 - +3 implants here) mem 3 int 3 learning 3 mem 4 adv mem 1 adv mem 2 adv mem 3 int 4 adv int 1 adv int 2 adv int 3 per, wil, cha to 4 (order doesn't matter) then adv per, wil, cha to 3 (start with whichever is highest and then go in order: cha after per, wil after cha, per after wil, and repeat) Obviously ISK will be a problem for people without outside assistance when it comes to the advanced skills (and maybe the memory implant, since +1 mem costs 4-5x the price of the other stats), but when I did it recently I only had to put off getting advanced mem a little while. After that I was able to afford them all as they were due. It requires a lot of missioning those first few days though. Last edited by Vorph : 06-15-2007 at 10:28 AM. |
