Some will say Destroyers but they don't really have the cap to use 4 tractor beams/4 salvagers. BC or BS is the best salvager oddly enough.

they usually salvage quicker then bigger ships so no reason why not, especially on a dedicated salvage ship.

I don't run out of cap in my catalyst if I use AB intelligently with 3 cargo expanders, 1 cap recharger, AB. I have better-than-newbie cap skills, though.

Catalyst is the best destroyer for salvaging imo. Also, I prefer to use 3 salvagers, 5 tractors. seems to work out better for me.

i think the number of tractors depends alot on how you did the mission.

As a raven mission runner i leave a string of wrecks spread out over 50 to 400km, all spaced out far enough that 2 tractors is more then enough.

Anyone have a link to belt/mission rats per region? Would be good for those that need to pick a type for their race.

From what I read all versions 1.1X have ceased to function, but 1.2 is supposed to work when it comes out.

The problem with evemon is that the XML character feed on CCPs end has been disabled.

Wait, it appears to back up.

They changed the feed and disabled the way evemon gets it. So it's essentially down till evemon puts out 1.2

This thread managed to stoke my interest enough to start a trial account last night. My experience so far has been awful.

First, I would disconnect over and over during character creation. It became a race to select the options and build a face before being dumped.

Second, the tutorial, though informative, would reset itself if I logged out for more than a short while. This would disable all the options that had been unvelied forcing me to do that portion over again. Unfortunately, the mapping options - star map dropdowns, waypoints and the like - never came back at all. I reset the entire flight tutorial hoping that when I reached the part about mapping the problem would right itself. Still no options and the tutorial doesn't even recognize that the map is open.

The game seems deep and interesting, but so far its the most frustrating MMO startup Ive ever had. The 'rookie' channel seems pretty useless so I opened a petition.

that's some weird stuff. hmm. i know that the tutorial resets itself if you change computers. it sounds like your cache isn't updating or something.

definately join the channel FOH when you cane. we have intelligent discussions and in depth conversations.

CCP had some trouble with their ISP earlier today (~5.30-7.00am GMT) that caused trouble for some people, try it another time and see if it continues to happen
