For solo job it ain't as hot as a jag, but again the guy didn't ask specifically about solo performance. And the wolf is a terrible ship - there's nothing you can do with it that you can't with cheaper ships.
Wolf has incredible damage for its size speed and manueverability. Its a very good backwater pirateship on a budget, especially in areas where people fit to do EM damage.

Does storylines help that corp though? I know they help faction, and the corp that gives the storyline, but what if that's not the corp I'm running missions for?
I know I'm very late on this but I've only just got back into the game. I wrote this guide about a year ago when I was basically just a mission-running whore. It explains what all of the Social skills do.

I don't even play that account anymore but I'm often in the FoH channel as Mynez (yea yea I wasn't feeling very imaginitive that day)

Then why not use a stabber? it's speedy, agile, does around the same damage than a wolf, can fit 2 med noses to boot and it's even cheaper. I can see some minimal advantadge if you are gonna hunt amarr pilots but with the state of things nowadays it's not like you need advanced ships for that. Missile and proj. users will just switch ammo and maul your ass on that 10% base explosive resist.

If you *still* feel the need for an AF, the jag totally obliterates the wolf since it can actually tank with the awesome minnie t2 shield resists + much better slot layout.

Jag is a much better solo gank ship. If the fight goes bad you can dictate it much better then a wolf can. The fact your tank is a passive buffer setup on a Jag with no huge double glaring resist holes just seals the deal.

So for better survivability, go with the Jag? That's what I was thinking, just gotta go earn the 25-30 mil isk to snag one. The reason I'm getting one is because I love the Rifter model, but the Rifter blows hard for anything in good PvP because of its shitty resists and shield/armor hp. My backup ship is a Drake but it isn't outfitted with a ton of Tier 2 shit, but it's still pretty decently equipped.

Rifter does NOT suck. You just need mad skills to make it the wicked bad boy it is...well ok it's also badass with low SP. Rifter rocks stfu.

Ok, maybe suck was the wrong term. I fly a Rifter right now, maybe I just don't know how to properly fit it, but compared to a jag or wolf, you have to admit, it is a bit lackluster.

(Warning! Car analogy ahead!)
That's sort like saying "Compared to a Ferrari, an Impreza sucks"
Well yes, but....

The Rifter costs about 4% of the price of a Jag. For what it is, it's a fine ship.

Rifter is also, you know, fast, all the assault ships have so much mass that they don't get nearly as much out of an MWD as a normal frigate/interceptor.

The assault ships are tougher, and better solo ships, but you'd pick a rifter over an assault ship to tackle with any day of the week.

So i've got an item bay filled with copious amounts of ice refined stuff. I want to get the best price for my stuff, what's the best way to go about this? is there a way to peruse the global markets easily? is there a few places that may offer a better price? Jita's buy orders wern't better priced some areas than the podunk port i was refining in. Should I set them up for sale at a price I want rather than filling a buy order?

I've never done any bulk commodity sales before and I'm up for any advice on the subject.

Generally speaking, you always make better money by setting sell orders than filling buy orders, because 99% of the volume buy orders are placed by resellers.

This pretty much applies to any item/good.
