| haha ohh the personal threats. Consider this, I was in VG alpha and then beta. I played release and have a level 50 with crafting in the 30s. I enjoyed VG a lot but didn't have the time to commit to my raiding guild and we had exhausted the group content with a bunch of world firsts. Many people consider VG to be terrible? It's hard for me to find a game I don't enjoy to some point. I have 2 active FFXI accounts, two active EVE accounts, one EQ2 account and one WoW account that is active. I have a lifetime EQ subscription but I never play that. I play all the others though. Usually just solo or small group since my schedule makes it hard to commit to a raid schedule. I'm a MMO companies dream player. Hardly play but subscribe for years. It doesn't take a whole lot to keep me interested. TCOS reminds me of Shadowbane or Horizons. They can make something that sounds awesome on paper. Investors think its great and they get their money. When it comes time to perform though, they can't. I don't care if you like the game. Heck I paid for that online golf game MMO and I enjoyed it. I've paid for a few other Korean MMOs too. Trust me, I'm easily amused and maybe there is something in TCOS that is right for you. It just bothers me when you come posting like the game has no problems at all and its the greatest thing since sliced bread, when there are MAJOR issues with the game (see my post about all the problems, maybe it is you that hasn't read through the list?) And I don't think its right to try and suggest that others are going to like it,when its current state doesn't deserve that at all. I rarely post about my niche games that I enjoy. The only one was Mythos (see my review a few posts down that has 400+ posts now and plenty of people that enjoy it) There's a game I can support and say some good things about. Too much hype gets pumped for games that don't deserve it at all. I'll do my job to stop the hype when it's over rated =) |

Hachima, for the love of god, it's a fucking Beta. Sounds like every beta I've ever been in. Why keep bagging on a game that doesn't even have a release date yet? Sounds like the typical development process to me. Inconsiderable, the comment about pushing buttons is appropriate. You flew off the handle a wee bit quickly there. ![]() Keep posting good info, not throwing gas on the flame! Cheers!

| What beta have you been in for two years and they still have major issues with their server/client code and massive crashing problems etc? Heck what beta have you been in thats lasted 2 years? They use to have a release date of mid 2007, then they had to scap the game and start over. (The game was rubberbanding like mad at the time, similar to AO on release) They closed beta down while they were redoing everything and they just opened it back up. Believe what you want though. What good are dreams unless they are unrealistic? =) |

| I'm not defending the game, nor was I trying to be a dick. I was just making the case that to list all the technical things wrong with a game that's in beta is kind of a futile gesture. ... My two cents.

If you even glanced the beta forums you would notice Incon starts the most threads raising concerns. Incon, inspite of his offensive attitude, is productive by addressing the devs and the beta community. You acting like a jack ass on another forum just shows how unethical, lazy and worthless you are as a tester. Last edited by mutantmagnet : 03-26-2008 at 12:58 PM. | |

| Spellborn Gets North American Publisherand New Release Timeframe Spellborn :: View topic - TCoS Project Update! Good news. Although details still scarce. But sounds very promising. "Today, we would like to share an important update with you about The Chronicles of Spellborn. After we attended the GDC in San Francisco, TCoS and Frogster have been in contact with different parties regarding the distribution of Spellborn in the USA. Recently, one major MMOG publisher has signed a letter of intent as a potential partner for the release of The Chronicles of Spellborn in the USA, assuming a time of six months so that Spellborn can be successfully introduced to the US public. Frogster and we, TCoS Devs, decided to use this extra time to improve our server architecture as well as apply further polish and balancing. Thanks to this additional development time, we will make sure that the flow of the gameplay and the performance correspond to the high quality expectations for the game even with high numbers of players. The launch of Spellborn is now estimated to take place in Autumn 2008, simultaneously in Europe and in the USA."

| I don't know, that game looks like WoW fucked Mythos and had a nasty lovebaby. It better get 50+ FPS at all times. Also WTB male avatars that A) don't have the body mass index of an Auschwitz victim and B) big male avatars that don't look like they're made of marshmallow. I mean really, what kind of Avatar is it if I think *I* could beat him up. Hopefully the gameplay is all it's cracked up to be and we'll have ourselves a nice new MMO to play. Come on Autumn! |

| The environmental details for Mythos are eerily similar to Spellborn but their avatars are much better than TCOS. Nothing about Spellborn's art or graphics is comparable to WoW. Hopefully this deal doesn't fall through since the publishers only signed a letter of intent. |

| It's been months since the last posting, months since the last news -- is this vaporware or so terribly flawed that it will never make it out of Beta?
