| [EVE] Ship fittings I thought that we really need a thread for this especially seeing so many terrible fittings being suggested in other threads. Let's suggest and discuss fittings for PvP or PvE here. I am gonna start with a few that are tested/work well and are affordable. Low SP lvl4 mission Dominix: This one works really well and is with "ok" drone skills and can tank ANY level 4 mission if resists are chosen properly and you have halfway decent support skills. High: 3x Heavy Nosferatu 1x Tractor beam 1x Drone link Augmentor Mid : cap rechargers (the best you can fit) Low: 2x Large Armor Repairer II ; 1x EANM II or cap power relay, rest: rat specific active hardeners of your choice All round PvP Taranis: Has a lot of hitpoints due to the damage control and can kill crows IF it gets in web range of them easy. It is a nice allround tool both for tackling and scouting and surviving as tackler in a fleet for a bit. 3x Light Ion Blaster II 1x small nos of choice 1x MWD II (or faction), 1x Fleeting webber, 1x Fleeting scram 1x SAR II, 1xDC II, 1xMAPC Drones: 2x Warrior II |

| Thats the part where "affordable" gets tricky =p I fly with full snakes + rigs + gistii MWD so I don't have problems catching the "regular" crow. On the other hand each ceptor costs about 80 mil to fit and if I get podded in my snakes I will cry( I had tears in my eyes when it happened last time lol). Biggest problem with ceptors is afterall still that crows are "the one" and being able to kill them is quite nice. And I think the Taranis is the one that actually gets them all close range. The hitpoints of the ranis with dcII is unmatched though =) Last edited by Larion : 04-18-2007 at 07:43 AM. |

+7 Internets | I always assumed that a Taranis was top dog in close-range DPS, but once I was flying around a 400mm plate + rockets + close-ranged railgun crow setup and I actually killed a SAR blaster taranis solo before he killed me, in web range (I was in structure though.) Have you had any experience trying vs that? |

| Your low SP mission Dominix isn't really low SP. LAR IIs require Mechanic V and EANM IIs require Hull Upgrades V, these are not likely to be top priority skills for new players either. Tractor Beam and DLA both require a seperate IV skill, and I'm not sure but I think there might be powergrid issues for someone that doesn't have Engineering trained up yet.

| Low SP Abaddon for missions: 8x Mega Modulated Large Pulse Laser 4x Cap Recharger II 2x Large Accomodation Vestment Reconstructer 1x Beta Hull Mod Capacitor Power Relay 4x Tech I mission specific hardener This worked very well for me. I basically slummed through the easier level fours until I could afford three cap recharge rigs. I picked these even knowing the laser cap use ones were superior, because at that point I had neither Jury Rigging III nor did I have a high enough engineering skill to fit them with the powergrid penalty. With the three rigs your cap is very sustainable in missions. Stick to Amarr/Caldari agents and decline Angel/Gurista missions, especially Angel Extravaganza and Worlds Collide. (Side rant: Worlds Collide is pure bullshit. The second deadspace pocket has fourteen battleships within 10km of warp in, and they all aggro. You will die in 30 seconds flat even with a faction tank.) I never had problems breaking the tank on any Blood Raider, Sansha, Rogue Drone, or Mercenary ships with this setup. Only Angel/Gurista gave me trouble.

Ship settings.....okay, I want some advice. My Hurricane - It's built as a fast raider which will assume no access to home station for repairs and operating with a group of similarly built ships. Highs: 6x 425mm Autocannon II 1x small remote armor repper, varies on what I get 1x e50 nos (forget the exact name, medium variant) Mids: 1x MWD II 1x Warp Disruptor II 2x Tracking Computer II's (here's where I'm very needing of improvement, but I hate missing and I've been able to blow away almost every 'ceptor easily thus far). Lows: 2x Overdrive Injector II's 1x Beta Hull Inertial Stabilizer 3x Gyrostabilizer II's Rigs: 2x Projectile Ambit (something), increases falloff range at cost of grid 1x Polycarbonate Engine Housing With the implants and gang bonuses I have, this 'Cane should be around 2500-2600 m/s (haven't put the engine housing in and it's at 2382, alloyed trit is expensive). Trying to improve it. Basic idea is a bunch of fast movers who all can hit outside of webber range (and I can, falloff for my autocannons is over 20 km). I'm the only minmatar ship ![]() | |

| Every time I've tried Worlds Collide, I've gone into the Sansha pocket. 15 seconds after I get in I'm initiating warp. 30 seconds after I get in I warp out at 40% armor. 45 seconds in I'd be dead, if I wasn't out. I don't launch drones or even fire. That's with a Centus X-Type Large Armor Repairer running, and EM/Therm/Therm hardeners active.

| Hello, I need help fitting a armageddon for missions and a prophecy for pvp. Also, I saw a Mackerial(battleship) go 8.5k today. I thought they fixed this? Also is there a way to get Snake implants? Or are they just random drops from rares in 0.0? |

+1 Internets | My PvP Myrm 3x e50 medium nos / TS medium nos depending on availability 3x anode ions 1x electro medium cap booster (800's, but I bring 400's when roaming a decent distance away) 1x fleeting webber 1x fleeting warp scram 1x t-86 MWD 1x sensor booster II 2x MAR II 2x EANMII 1x DC II 1x explosive hardener II and 5 ogres, although after interfacing V I might begin the crawl towards ogre II's, and run around with 5 hammerhead IIs and a few ogres. Can't decide between t2 blasters (I also fly a rax) and drones. Sometimes I change it out if I'm just ratting, but it does fine on sansha spawns in PvP mode. The charges just weigh a fuckton, so I don't pick up as much loot. |

| It's not a question of training time it's how long does it take to find a good guild, who also trusts you. They will find you a role at that point, usually tackler / token ranger sacrifice. |

If you drop down to Dual Heavy Beams, which take less grid, you will have problems breaking battleship tanks in a lot of missions. Beam lasers take even more grid. I would really suggest getting an Apoc or an Abaddon for running level fours, they're infinitely easier to fit and IMHO the Abaddon is second only to the Raven for mission running.
