Whats the word with SWG?

Its not at all harder to balance a jedi class by itself than any other class once you distinguish between "uber jedi from known movie" and "some jedi you are". If you suck at making MMOGs of course while a mongoloid director with visions of grandeur is calling the shots from the background, its an impossible task.

This might technically be true but it's not what people are thinking when they see Jedi. They don't want to play the Jedi whose Force level was so low he got into the Academy on a minority scholarship and scored a D- in lightsaber class (has those two bionic hands from the training accident in freshman year).

They want to play a cross between the Emperor and a Lensman and Superman who is the sekrit love child of Obi Wan Kenobi.

I wanna see some "real video" from jedi academy... I wanna see Han Moonwalker cut his hand off, or Jhonny Brownrobe accidently turn his saber on while looking down the shaft, lol.

Jedi are based on samurai, very strong, powerful warriors usually considered a step above normal.(The concept of star wars is based upon Kurosawa movies and wild westerns so you have your sword swingers and gun slingers) To actually balance them out would be damn difficult... In Episodes 1,2 and 3 the jedi powers were waning (hence why they so eagerly looked towards anikin to restore balance to the force, because they couldn't sense a lot of things anymore) so the jedi's real power wasn't that they were totally uber but that everybody THOUGHT they were totally uber and the sith knew that and is why they so easily tricked them and gunned them all down, the jedi never saw it coming.

I do want to see a jedi knight game where you play as darth vader hunting down and killing stuff on command from the emperor, that would be fun to hack through civilians in my way.
