CC nerf in Arena and Battlegrounds in TBC...

So, while we don't plan on disabling CC in Arenas, we do have intent to decrease its potential for extended incapacitation.

Being a warrior, I think this change is a needed one... tired of spending half a fight polymorphed because my priest got assist trained and no one could dispel me...

You know, on my reason for quitting message when I canceled after playing from beta through cthun I wrote, "The mage has always been, and will always be, mediocre." I felt a bit silly when I heard how cool mages were in naxx. I no longer feel silly.

It's hard to overreact to a change I will never experience.

But you're right, what I really need is to resubscribe. A couple more hundred days played of throwing fireballs and summoning water is just what the doctor ordered, especially if it's in another mage friendly instance like BWL.

I think this change is good. CC can still be effective, bt not debilitative in the way some of them are now.

So not only will we barely have enough mana to kill a warrior since our arena gear has very little int and everyone is going to have 10k+ HP, but we won't be able to sheep his priest for more than 5 seconds to do it?

You melee fucktards can act like casters overreact, but do you realize that most of the time sheep doesn't even last long enough for us to run to full range, nevermind hamstring lasting longer than sheep, crippling poison lasting longer than sheep, wing clip lasting longer than sheep most of the time...

I can't speak for warlocks with fear because I don't play one, but mages live and die against melees by crowd control, snares, and roots. Shorten these without compensating by upping damage, and there will be absolutely no point in playing these classes any longer.

So will stunlock last 1/3rd as long as well?

And casters have CC abilities for a reason. If some beefed out warrior or rogue gets in attack range, you are really fucked unless you are able to get them off you.

I agree with this change. Its frustrating when I'm polymorphed for an entire fight. Yeah yeah, L2dispel, but when the dispellers are being focus fired down...you can stay a sheep for a long fucking time.
