City of Heroes: Player Wearable Angel or Demon Wings

Supposedly coming next issue. Looks cool, although I think there are enough player-controlled angels and demons in the game right now. Too bad this dev team is more interested in adding cosmetic changes, rather than end-game content.

Also, here is a link to the teaser video. This may give a hint as to how the wings move.

Yes because a character artist has a lot to do with raid content design.

I've heard this mentioned before...did they remove the 5th Column from the game? If so, that would be pretty lame. They were one of the more fun battles in CoH, with turning into werewolves and vampires and robots and all sorts of junk.

Lol, you saved your first post for that? Anyway, the point I was making is that when you hear a Coh dev speak (in an interview), they say that they have added a ton of content. But when you run down the list, 90% of it is content like new costume options, graphical revamps, etc. And when you hear them talk about what they are working on, its stuff like, we have been working really hard the last year on wings, capes, or customized particle effects. When have you heard them say they are working on endgame content and actually implement it? You haven't. This is not good for a game that has been out 2.5 years.

5th column have had their name changed. They tried to add a story to talk about the name change, and cover it up, but the bottom line is that they had to change it. They had an international rollout, and in some countries, you are not allowed to make references to nazi's. And since the US has treaties with these countries, they could sue the dev team here in Texas. France has already done it with Ebay.

No, I didn't "save this for my first post". I replied to something I have experience in.
As for all of your other points on what should be added to a game, and in what order, unfortunately I don't think you are taking into account what it all really entails.
Adding a new hat takes 20 minutes, making all game FX be customizable, a little longer than 20 minutes. Is the same person involved in both? No. Should the person not invovled with FX hang out and do nothing? Nah, he should be making hats!
Anyway, I think the wings look great!

Our favorite nazis got 'absorbed' by The Council. Basically these evil alien energy beings called the Nictus had been running everything behind the scenes, and finally decided to take over. A lot of the old 5C got wiped out and went into hiding. Now The Council is the primary villian waging war on the Warshades and Peacebringer heros.

Thats the lore anyway. The in game deal is all the 5C got changed into generic para-military soldiers, no more neck-back helmets or red nazi motif. All mention of the 5C has been completely removed from the game except for maybe one ore two sentences. There is only now the council. Pretty pissy.

An internal power struggle occurred, where a new guy took out the old leader.

The event leading up to the switch was pretty awesome actually...there were pitched battles in the streets all over the Paragon Isles.

There is still a 5th column spawn in Nerva Archipelago. Kind of an easter egg actually, because it's rare and not attackable...and despawns on a normal cycle. Only seen it twice in all the time I've been in Nerva, which is a lot of time.

There is also a 5th column gladiator.

Positron keeps stating that the 5th are coming back, but they will never pin down when.

And if any of you were interested in picking up CoH/CoV just for wings, they are Veteran Rewards so you have to play for some as-yet unknown length of time to unlock them, but at least 3 months.

That looks incredible, but it's not enough to get me to go back. I really can't see being a long-term subscriber to CoH/V until they do something about the sewer mission, warehouse mission, cave mission, warehouse mission, cave mission, cave mission, sewer mission, cave mission repetitive gameplay.

They are putting the models back into the game but changing the groups name to "Kids on Fire".

Supposedly Issue 8 was going to have some endgame type stuff, but the fact that they haven't talked about it at all recently, and it isn't listed on the I8 Features page makes me think they quietly pushed it back again.

CoH is really the perfect counterpoint to people who babble incessantly about "too much brown" or "those graphics suck".

CoH is a gorgeous game visually; but those visuals are pretty much all it has.

It's reasonably important to have decent graphics, but gameplay trumps graphics every time.
