[WoW] Paid Character Transfers Experience?

What are you experiences with the WoW paid character transfers and what kind of transfer did you do? I read the FAQ page and they say only two accounts of the same owner can trasnfer characters between them, they verify this by knowing the stationname of the sending account, and the secret question/answer of the receiving account. Also both accounts must be subscribed to the same last name. Anyone have any experience with this? Obviously I ask because one of my friends who used to play on my server but then rerolled on another wants to come back to my server with his character he rerolled with, while at the same time I want to transfer his old character on my realm to my account because I want to reroll as that class. So what do you guys think they wouldn't allow it if we recently changed the name of one of the accounts to match so we could do that? Or do you think they would catch it/ban/suspend/etc? Also after that is done he could then transfer his character from the other realm to my realm correct? In the FAQ it says each character can only xfer once very 6 months but I didn't see a limit on how many times an account can be invovled in a transfer. So comments and past experiences please?

Paragraphs first of all. Second, I've transferred three characters between servers and haven't had any problems. But I would bet, being it's blizzard, they will be very strict about transferring characters between accounts.

They are, tried to consolidate my account with all the accounts that had been given to me by people who quit. I didnt want to pay for all those accounts and I guess Blizzard didnt want to make it that easy on me..

Create a new account with his name and then move whichever character he wants to it. Problem solved, tho a little bit more pricey.

you cant move characters to trial accounts, and that would end up me paying for two accounts then, i just wanted to move his guy onto my one current account.

My wife had a WoW account and I cancelled it about a year ago when she stopped playing (Big Brother > WoW). I have transfered a character from her inactive account to my account with no problems, and it was available to play in about 5 minutes or so.

You must have had the same last name then, because it wouldnt let me past the "Your last names do not match - So Sowwy" screen.

Exactly.

I did this. If you have a PC and 'net connection that can run WoW you can afford $30 for another copy of WoW and $15 per month to maintain the account. You also gain the bonus of being able to play both characters simultaneously.

I don't think there is any way around this unless you know someone at blizzard who can bend the rules just for you.

Do you get a bulk discount like in EQ?

If the cost is the same per char move just make a bunch of single requests and say that you had your name legally changed... Indian CSRs ain't gonna be able to sort it out.

Have some chich, be it your wife or some hoe off the street, call Blizzard and have them change the account creditentals...
"I have recently been married" should work faster than a $2 hoe...
