| Check out the beginning of a full week of Vanguard coverage at Games Radar: http://www.gamesradar.com/us/pc/game...88000000020809 The guy spent two full days visiting Sigil to prepare to write up this week long coverage. For someone well versed with Vanguard, there still should be some interesting tid-bits, and as for reaching out to those who don't know about Vanguard, this is part of the huge SOE/Sigil PR/Marketing plan with much more to come. Also we have up our player submitted screenshots from beta on our main site for this last month now: http://www.vanguardsoh.com/playersubmitted.php Last edited by Aradune Mithara; 09-13-2006 at 12:04 AM.. |

+13 Internets | I am now fully convinced that the only way I will play this game is if I am given a free month or two (for no reason whatsoever) and maybe find some little detail in it that was completely ignored by the marketers/fanboys that appeals to me. On "paper", this game looks like an atrociously brown grind-fest CPU hog. In reality, it might be a wonderful investment worthy of my time and money. Good luck convincing me of that though. =( So much perceived talent behind this game....*sigh* (Obligitory "dons flame suit* postscript)

| I'll admit I haven't looked very hard, but the one thing that does seem to be missing from this feature is a review of if the game is actually fun or not. When foror previewed WoW, and when foror previewed vanguard, he gave us the idea that these games were going to be fun. I'm honestly not hearing much at all right now about "hey guys this game rules" -- but a lot about "hey this is what the game looks like" and "hey these are the classes". |

+2 Internets | So how long is Vanguard going to be in "early Beta"? I've been hearing this for almost 2 years now, but just how the hell long is "early"? The game is expected to come out within 6 months from now and people are still harping early beta? When is late Beta? The last 2 hours or something? |

+2 Internets | I've always liked Mr. McQuad and is "visions" and it seems to me like he is the king of motivation, but Vanguard just looks fucking awful. Some stuff looks good, but nothing stands out and nothing looks even remotely fun. I never think "Man I want to play that", or "I can't wait until this is released", because quite frankly I can wait for it to be released. I hope they wait as well and make it good because it looks anything but good at the moment. Last edited by Zefah; 09-13-2006 at 01:40 AM.. |

| just admit you messed up and start over. or at least completely change the things everyone is telling you to change. no one will think you less for it. or if money is the big issue, just continue to make these posts trying to hype your game and continue the PR campaign. you might get 150-200 subs initially, and that should at least turn some kind of profit. i loved eq, but i won't be one of those 150-200. edit: 150k-200k i mean't.. lol. +20 Internets | Wow this thread is brutal. Anyhow, most of the shots dont look that bad IMO. But as his last post showed, it looks 100x better in motion then in SS's. Graphics aside, the size of the world is what intrests me the most. The article says 19 race, all with their own starting location. So unless these starting locations are super close to each other, the world is going to be GIGANTIC. I'm the type of player who loves to explore more then grind, so I look forward to doing nothing more then just running around for a few days. PS- I'm a shill PPS- I want in the beta =( |
