Anyone still playing EQII?

The expansions look great. And now that I have a machine that I can play without seeing mushed up faces I was thinking of giving it another $15 to try out.

What servers contain to most of you guys? I have a 30 something on some server, but I really hated how Bruiser = Ideal XP group tank when I played. I don't mean they were the best but with my damage and tanking abilities people only wanted me to tank and I did not like that.

What classes are the best? I remember hearing rangers were good but were nerfed(maybe that was ffxi or both)? Looking basically just info on the status of the game now after two expansions.

I'm still playing idly since I'm on station pass, but having no one to talk to makes it a bit of bore (I could like, level up more and try to make friends, but uh, I blame the government. Yeah, that's it)

The Mistwalkers guild was on Permafrost (Which is where I still am too hehe), and Oath contains some people from this board.

Rangers were nerfed, but so were summoners I believe, so they're still teir 1/2 DPS, just not Teir Crazy.

They nerfed the Strength alternate advancement line on Monks/Bruisers a bit, but I still like em, and it saves a chunk of change every 10 levels when you can use AA'd unarmed instead of weapons. But I spent a lot (a lot) of time picking up collectibles for AAexp.

Main problem, as I see it, is money at low-mid level. A level 26 or something won the lottery last week for 1000pp, so maybe you could beat him up and rob him

I log on occaisionally, but I'm trying to find someone to sell my two accounts to. 50 zerk/fury combo. Also a 48 dirge on Venekor on the zerk account.

They're on Permafrost... I suppose I could PL a bit if you find more on Perma.

I played EQ2 on a free 1 month pass with my guild, and it was fun for awhile but while it was cool, it lost its fun.

And now to derail the thread

I'm looking for a new game to play, WoW lost its flare when my guild exploded, I relized I hate playing a healer, and nobody needs a lock atm.

I watched some RL friends farm for anguish, and while it still looks okay, I have no will to finish Neuadven to 80 or whatever the cap is now, and grind out the 1600 aa's or so I have left (I quit with 180ish?)

Vanguard looks great but the whole beta thing is a little snag.

Eve sounds fun but I don't want to pay for an account because I'm a cheap bastard, is there any form of free trial?

Any suggestions?

I wish I could endure the grind in Lineage II or FFXI. I'm in a similar situation as NB. Nothing appeals to me more than a few weeks lately. I only play WoW reguarly because of RL friends, but they're all 60. I keep hoping once I get 60 and play with them it will be fun. Though watching raids on my roommates computer I'm never like WHOA THAT LOOKS AWESOME!!!!!111

Yeah, I've never had any problem with the actual game, just seems that everyone I group with never shows up again, or is level 60something by the next time I see them on so I can't really find anyone to chill with lol.

Personally trying to finish up KoS content on Venekor atm before EoF. I rarely play my Alt anymore except to PvP.

There's a lot of good lowbie guilds though with enough players on 24/7.

Qeynos: Grey Wolves/Firona Vie Champions/Tree/Storm
Freeport: Rat Pack/Avatars of Hate/Unholy Covenent

Shouldn't have too much of a prob finding a group to level up with there.

I'm kinda playing, but will be playing more soon. I upgraded my PC, so I'm replaying all my old games in their full graphical glory. Finished Q4, FEAR, just about done with HL2, then on to oblivion, then I think I can go back to EQ2. So see you in about a month. =)

EvE isn't all it's cracked up to be because you're confused?

Huh? *confused*

Ya, EVE is in fact all it's cracked up to be: A fantastically open ended game without a learning curve (because it's a learning vertical-wall).

Maybe it's like the guy above me said, there is a HUGE learning curve, but I spent 2 hours going through the tutorial, twice, and still don't get the basics. Or maybe I'm on a lack of food because I haven't eatten in 24 hours and have thrown up the stuff I ate last night.

Thats a major problem with almost all of the games now days... too much emphasis on maxing out and raiding/PvPing and not enough on having fun or doing stuff, everybody wants to grind out and max out and show off their epeen size. Eve is a bit better on that since there are numerous ways to go about doing stuff but games like WoW and EQ2 are only focused on getting to the end game as fast as possible.

I have an active subscription but don't play anymore. I can't explain what it is with that game that bores me so quickly.
