Cool. If that is the case, no problems here. But if it is being held for a +/- 5 level range or something, it's going to get pretty nasty.

Where are you getting this so-called information? If its from your 'beta experience' why the fuck are you even using that information when it is obviously old.

Maybe you missed the part where I asked for clarification if I was wrong.

Thanks sir, it looked pretty good.

I have to admit that the game in motion looks a lot better than in screenshots, but then again most games do. I hope Brad releases more of these as I'd love to see what caster combat looks like and also what the animations would be like for a melee-centric class like a warrior (giant 2h swords pls)

I'm not really bonkers over the pace of combat nor the combat animations displayed in this clip, but they aren't as bad as I had imagined either.

Hey Brad, I heard there were spaceships 5 months ago, can you clarify this?

With that said,

It's a valid question regarding the game. If mobs truly are not showing up because of perception, it is going to seem pretty empty whenever you enter a level where your perception is lower if I understand how it works (Which is why I asked for clarification) then in the level of area you go to in the next content area.

So, the way I see it, and if I am wrong please state why -- say I entered Sebilis at level 51. I could see mobs in the beginning zone area, but after that I am going to have to rely on someone else in my group to have a higher perception to see every mob and pull them. Which means that they have indirectly added vertical interdependence (TM) but I am going to have to rely purely on higher levels to join a group otherwise my entire group of 51's with the same capped perception (I am assuming this will be capped as to how much you can gain in perception per level) will be fodder for invisible mobs jumping me at every opportunity.

Not to mention but I am up for a challenge. Say I want to take my group of 40's into a higher level dungeon whose mobs have perception tuned for level 50. I am up for a challenge, but when you cannot see a mob based on my perception, how is that a challenge?
It would seem to me that if a game were to impliment such "perception" it would work much like stealth works in WoW and other games. The higher your "perception" the better chance you have to see KoS mobs who are on alert or actively seeking you.

Thinking perception means that a mob 10 levels above you could be beating on you and you're like WHERE IS IT, OH GOD I NEED PERCEPTION is pretty naive. I see it working like D&D, and mainly in dungeons rather than not being able to see deer and cows in a field.

If certain mobs have the ability to stealth that is one thing, but if there is an overall "perception" limitation that because a mob is higher than you you therefore become blind to them, well this is one of the dumbest ideas I have ever heard. Woops can't see you you are too high.

Certain NPCs that have specific stealth or hiding abilities work in tandem with the percpetion system. It is NOT every NPC in the game, just a tiny percentage. I sure as hell would never want to a play a game where everything is hidden until the last moment. For instance, certain roamers in a dungeon may require perception for you to see in order to avoid getting a nasty pull or chain aggro. If someone in the group has high enough perception they can spot the outline or opaque NPC and alert the rest of the group. Perception deals primarily with anticipating attacks and maneurvers from your opponents allowing you access to counter attacks, rescues, chain continuations, etc.

Looked pretty good to me, definatley renews my interest some. The screenshot in the shrine and curious notes on religion in the earlier post also helped a lot, looking forward to both new videos and more religion information.

I really dont like the placement of infromation in the interface, i play at 1900x1200 and dont want my life in top corner and mobs in other corner with my hotbuttons in the bottom middle, its too hard to see important information.

I would suggest having a 2nd build in UI with the self and target windows just above the hotkeys on the bottom.
