Whiff, Whiff, Whiff, Whiff, Whiff, Whiff, Whiff, Whiff, you hit uber mob for 5 damage, whiff, whiff, whiff, whiff, whiff, whiff. Hopefully that crap stays out of Warhammer. Ignoring the PVP side of the game in DAOC was Mythic's downfall and they deserve the very very small subscriber base they have now.

+1 Internets | They did, and it worked, essentially. Still, because of the limited buff range on ALL buffs, vampiirs ruled the solo world there. Being naturally fully buffed all the time kinda turned the tide for them. Then there was melee rangers with there Physical Defense Realm Ability, which upped their melee resists (yes, you had melee resists like you have spell resists) and made it damn near impossible to kill them since there were no legendary weapons (ToA and beyond). You still basically had all the cap stuff though, because classic servers were just TOA axed. Catacombs, DR etc, all still existed there.

+5 Internets | What was that one big dragon fight in DAoC where it would keep taking flight at a low percentage of health, fly around, regen, and then land again with more health, only to take off again at the same percentage? I remember watching a friend of mine go through that fight and it seemed pretty fun. Granted, that was the only PvE I ever personally saw. Anyone know more specifics on that fight? Transvaal |

I didn't make it past the first opening months of DAoC when they made the PvP require a terrible PvE grind first and then kept nerfing everything you had spent time on into oblivion. That and the client was a buggy pile of crap at the time and wouldn't keep itself together for any reasonable playing session.

Was a good move on their part. That and they allied with other guilds in the beginning and had them level in the beginning areas of Darkness Falls while they leveled behind them to protect from the PK attacks. It was smart.
