It may not have been buggy, but it was incomplete. Questlines stopped in the middle of nowhere. There were zones which had no items or where so poorly itemized it had to be redone. Some zones had practically no content and served no purpose except for scenery.

The thing that is really nuts about Ut is that all this is over a video game. The worst that could happen to him is that... he doesn't buy it. Sure talking about why you might not like a game is fine and normal, but he is on some kind of extreme religious crusade. He is that crazy guy standing on the street corner screaming at everyone that they are going to hell since they don't follow his psycotic logic. Ut takes himself way to seriously about a damn game that isn't even out yet and still can't get why people think he is a moron.

The funny thing is that he might have some valid points here and there, but since he presents himself like a nutjob, no one listens.

So what MMO has actually had this happen? It's certainly not any I've played - even L2 where the patch was released earlier in Korea still had massive problems. EVE has horrendous patchday problems, and there are still a lot of side effects from the recent patch shaking out. Obviously WoW has had some issues too - I remember our old server hardware with dying hampsters that chugged at the drop of a hat, and the week at the start when our server was swamped at release and couldn't handle the load.

Yes, patch-day downtime sucks. But there's no way to simulate contact with the enemy, because 2 million people hammering your code is very different than 10k, and you're lucky to get the latter on most test servers.

Well, I suppose server issues are in a separate category than bugs, but come on. And MC might not have been buggy on release, but it sure as fuck had an unkillable end boss and had loot tables revised like 3 patches in a row because the initial tables were silly at best. Onyxia got stuck under the world, knock awayed 6+ times in one instant, didn't actually kb on tail swipe, and a shit load of other bugs for quite a long time. And I don't think MC and Ony really count as 'complete' raid content on their own either. BWL wasn't added till like 8 months post release, and that was just a cluster fuck of buggy and incomplete for weeks.

The PVP system wasn't in on release, and what was patched in was probably the worst idea ever. After months of swiping my cold credit card, they are going to fix it in the first expansion (lol hi2u Ut).

Server issues persist to this day. WoW is a solid game, but to say it wasn't buggy and incomplete on release is just incorrect.

Remember the weekly crashes that were so bad they started giving us time back cause it went on so long?

Remember when we were PROMISED that the game would start at 60 and we would have more to do at 60 then 1 - 59? Yeah and where was that content? Oh that's right it was left out because they rushed the shipping.

Remember no hero classes, which STILL aren't in the game, which were promised with release?

Remember BGs that were promised with release not to be added till a year later?

Remember the patching servers being so shitty that 1/2 the time the patch you got would cut off 1/2 way through, if you were lucky to even get that damn far, causing your patch to eb bugged forcing you to delete the whole damn game and reinstall and repatch, hoping the whole time that their PoS patch server would go all the way through this time?

Remeber the 2 - 3 hour que times that most servers had so that they had to double the amount of servers?

Remember them removing the AH from the other 2 main cities and forcing everyone to go to one city, causing so much lag that it would crash the server?

Remeber the loot tables on most content had to be revamped again and again and again cause it was so retarded that no one could understand WTF they were thinking when they did it?

Remember places like Mount Hyjal and Cavern of Times which still haven't been added to the game?

What's funny is how everyone is so busy jumping on the Ut bandwagon and no one has presented any retort as to why the game will be good from what they've seen. All I've heard is "Hey, It could be good! You don't know yet! All we have is screenshots and a few movies." What I don't get is why you people are so blind to think that shitty screenshots and piss-poor animations have the potential to become a good game? If the gameplay is much better, then why are they marketing the graphics so ferociously instead of putting some gameplay sneakpeaks out? My guess is that the gameplay isn't much better than the graphics. This isn't fact, but it's an educated guess based on what's being presented. The game is due out in 6-8 months and there is no media that convinces me that this game will be a solid, nextgen MMO. You guys can bandwagon till the donkeys come home, but it comes down to Sigil stepping up and proving to it's future customers that their game is going to deliver the goods.

What the FUCK? WoW was by FAR the most well done and polished major MMO released to date. Of course there are going to be some problems, but that is to be expected with the nature of MMO's. I feel bad for Vanguard when all you faggots have such impossible standards.
