Trees look like crap, maybe they look like that today and seem better from below but they better do something seeing how flying will be standard post TBC.

Most of the screenshots look like the first Unreal, some look like EQ with better lighting . I'm not hating or anything, for a MMORPG they are acceptable but they are nothing special.

Draenei on page 3 looks like a backdoor slut ;p

What I'd really like is for someone to leak what you need to level up in jewelcraft so I can buy those items in the AH
Honestly I expect Blizzard to code the tradeskill so it mostly uses extracted gems, with pre-existing gems as minor mat requirements for certain uncommonly made items. Sorta like how a flask uses 1000 dream foil and 1 lotus ;p

For instance, in engineering, most of the levelup recipes are extremely common materials...things like copper, rough stone, linen. I imagine most early gemcraft stuff will revolve around extracting gems from copper ore and using copper metal itself, with maybe some vendor bought stuff like a polishing pad. For 1-15 I'm sure it will be some easy ass thing like "rough cut gem". You just cut your extracted gems and get skill points...the cut gems are used in recipes or socketing. Then maybe 10-30 you have Rough Quartz Ring...extracted and cut quartz from copper nodes, then a copper bar for the ring setting. Then 25-50 you have Rough Quartz Necklace...you need maybe 5 quartz and copper links, which are made from a copper bar and something else. Then right around the time your mining skill reaches Tin, you learn Course Cut Gem...etc etc. Stuff like Malachite or Tigers Eye will start to get used for some recipes, but not the stuff you use to skill up. Generally the skillups in some trades dont get too hard until you start getting around that 200ish number, at which point even some of the level up recipes require some harder to get mats.

I won't be surprised at all if arcane crystals figure into it somewhere ;/

As for the trees, you act like its the first fucking time you've seen them. Dur?

You won't be flying over the trees in the Blood Elf noob area, only in Outland. I'm sure the trees there were designed differently than the ones outside of Outland.

Well I declare boy that is a texturing of a castle. Heaven forbid there be another castle in the game. You know, most stone blocks DO look alike, whether you on Earth, Azeroth, or Norrath for that matter.

What difference does it make if they are all new textures or if they make use of existing textures to make all-new areas that look and feel new?

I also think we're guaranteed to see another few crazy themed flavour metals roll around. Something like Draenium or Netherite or something dumb.
Draenium is what they make their shipslol out of.

I'm gonna let him in on a secret.

Stone is quaried. Nations tend to have a distinctive architectual style for certain time periods.

Now this will bake your noodle: Multiple buildings can share the same quaried stone if they are in close proximity to one another, thus making both look kind of the same in terms of coloration and cut, and buildings might have similar designs from the same time period!

HOLY FUCK!

It's just like BRD and BRS/BWL...they look the same because they were all part of the same dark iron complex. It's not because of "omg lazy!".

I think his point is that that art existed before the Exodus since we've had it on our computers and/or in game magazine previews for a long long time

Some of you fuckers are the most nitpickiest shitheads this side of the Mississippi. Blizzard's art has been nothing less than exceptional for their entire career as game makers, give up your "OMG REUSED MODALZ" bullshit.

This is the internet age. Assuming something remains secret is... foolishness.

Considering this thread hasn't been destroyed by the Black Hand, I'm going to assume they don't care too much about the leaks at this point ;p Or it's even possible they themselves let it be leaked as some form of viral marketing.
