+10 Internets | I think the perfect system is a random reward/gain system, where you lose a random amount of whatever it is, money, blood coins, etc. Make it from 0% to 80%, but make it weighted so most fights are a smaller loss/gain. Then make it rather difficult to run from a fight, and throw in some mechanics to make your % reward based on difficulty of your opponent. Likewise, make sure it takes into account groups, encourages grouping, and punishes zerging. Looking forward to trying it out, myself. Overgauss: Exactly. Server politics on Rallos Zek were always very fun, very unstable, and a great dynamic to have in the game that I'm sure the devs never had any intention of using. When there's something of value to lose, people will work to protect it. The last thing I want, though, is another game like WoW, where people don't even care if they live or die. Making blood coins just difficult enough to get and hold onto where they are valued will be key. Too difficult and it becomes an evac fest; full of chases, anytime someone feels like they might have a difficult fight. /yawn at that, I had enough chasing to last the rest of my life in EQ2. |

Instead, make things open and give the /players/ the ability to take control of greifers/retards like this themselves. Having real concequences to your actions through the reputation it brings you and your allies is what makes mmo pk interesting to me, not killing people. Don't get me wrong, I can be happy for a while just killing people, but I expect a more wholesome experience of an extended reputation to matter in my mmo pvp. I like to build and know my and other players honor, and know that if me or any of my friends comes in trouble, that we will work together to return the favor because we have something to protect. | |

| i am really looking forward to AoC, they have a lot of stuff they want to put it, if they can, it should be a great game. or it could end up with a leets guild running roughshot over everyone else and dryup like shadowbane. which i think is what is going to happen with if formation do bring a bunch of bonuses and stuff |

| I definately think there should be some sort of 'account...ability' whereby people could handle griefers and such. I won't go into it now because I want to hear what you guys come up with. Plus I found some youtube videos via AoC forums that I thought I'd share. These are Age of Conan - Interview Part 1-3 @ Games Convention 2006 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44uAcDXuDVk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMdqjKKW5N0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lE9ToxTBiuE Not too shaby for pre-beta. |

| Haha. Gwn. There's folks on the AoC forums that want to RP slave wenches and such. Angry Amadeus do you know of a large style Conan comic that had a short story in the back about a gambler (Vegas?)that became the god of luck? I can't remember which issue or type mag it was. I know it was the premium sized mag though. Edit: Oh yeah. I'm compelled to shake my fists in envy. BY CROM'S GONAD! Last edited by Overgauss; 08-28-2006 at 05:17 PM.. |

+49 Internets | You actually saved those marketing tapes Angry? heh. I used to use them to get the MMO junkies to toss down a pre-order, but after it actually launched those things got launched themselves...into the dumpster ;p

| Rummaging through storage the other day. No idea how the fuck that got in there. I have @ 25 3' comic boxes stashed away, was peeling through some of those for the hell of it and found that tape in one of them.
