Exclusive Vanguard shots for fohguid.org

Hi all,

Every week or so, in addition to the screenshots we release to other sites, etc., I wanted to start including this site. So here's the first of approximately weekly screenshots exclusive to fohguild.org.

These are taken by me. This one in particular is my level 11 warrior in beta 3 in Qalia in the capitol city there at the docks.

low reso + no aa = FTL

PS: This is totally fohguild.org favoritism, next you'll be giving out all the secrets to raids here...

Yes, this was takenon Medium settings at 1920x1200. I usually play at these settings and get 20+ fps outside and 40+ fps inside, although my machine is pretty beefy.

At level 11 I have some chain, but mostly leather. This will change as I level up of course

Oh be quiet, I'd prefer screenshots that realistically depict what I'll be seeing if I play the game. It's much better than glossed up shots with every setting maxed out that maybe 5% of people will be playing with.

Anyway, now that there's lighting in the screenshots the game feels much more 'alive'. Though there is still some work to be done in that department, this is a big improvement :O

I have a 7800GT 256MB video card, 3800 AMD Processor, and 2 gigs of ram. Am I okay?

Anyway, I like the shot, though your character kind of looks like he's flying.

terrain textures seem a bit weak, fairly impressive fps at that resolution, character model and the sky both look really good tho... what kinda machine is does it take to run it at those settings?

Qalia's capital city docks have zero npcs? How sparse are the non-capital cities?

I think the "gorget" you see is just the top part of his tunic bro, *shrugs*, could be wrong though. As for the belt I hope it is a visible slot.

Edit As for the SS it's self...something looks....off? The character doesn't look like he is a part of the picture at all.... It looks like someone pasted him over a background shot. Hopefully that will change.

Edit Edit I also want to say thanks for posting stuff here that isn't posted elsewhere. Alot of folks that come here are, in fact, looking forward to VG and apprecaite the chance to see even more coverage of the game.
