Leaked Press Tour Info (Fake?)

It will be composed of 5 wings, each one should be doable in one hour, two at a maximum. The monsters will evolve with the player levels. If the group is composed of level 62 players, the monsters will most likely be around 62. But if the group is 65 then the monsters will be stronger!

Arcane Doom

This instance, located in Terokhar Forest, is made of 4 Wings like Naxxramas. One will be filled with Demons, another with Draeneis, the other one with Corrupted Orcs, and we don't know about the last one. The instance will cover the level 60 to 70, one wing will be dedicated to the level 70 players. The main goal of this instance is to help the leveling, it will be like the Scarlet Monastery from the level 30 to 40.

Side note

* With the expansion, each class will be rewarded with two more talents tiers (2 rows) per specialization.
* The Burning Crusade will bring some new Battlegrounds and a Gladiator Arena. More to come on this later.
* Blizzard hasn't begun development on any type of player housing.
* Blizzard is working on a better character customization, which may be released with the expansion.
* Hero classes are in development and will be available with the expansion. More to come on this later.
* Blizzard said that the Burning Crusade will have shorter instances to keep groups entertained without having 40 players.

Even if it's fake, the gladiator and coifang ideas are good, even if they aren't new. Instances with wings, I believe, have a lot of re-usability to them. I wouldn't post this if I didn't find the ideas at least interesting.

But yeah, until I see something else I'm calling at least the Hero Class announcement fake.

Yea the hero classes are the one thing on there that I was like.. wtf. Other than that it looks good for what it is.

I'd really love to see them add 5-7 more battlegrounds, even if the basic ideas are the same (CTF, Cap and Hold, Domination) with varying group sizes. Make a WSG thats 20v20 on a different type of map. Make an AV thats 10v10. Make an AB thats 40v40. All with new maps. If you have 8 or so BG's, you can rotate them in 2 per week. Have the others be "closed" while these are open. So each week you have BG's you haven't seen in 4 weeks, and it prevents the players from dispersing too much.

Hoooorse shit. I seem to recall the same thing being said all throughout beta about release. We're not getting hero classes until the End Days.

With that many BGs they might as well randomly pick a different battleground (cept for the 40 vs40) for each game - see guildwars 4vs4.

I really hope the instance part is true, that would make for a really nice alternative to wading through crowded quest areas after release.

Well, each one has to be relatively balanced for the group size and map type - the current AB is much too small for 40v40, for example. Switching the group size up adds to the flavor, as I'd imagine a 40v40 AB on a bigger map (more nodes to take maybe? I'd hate to roll up to a node and see 15 people guarding it..) would be quite different from the current AB. So random map doesn't really work considering people join as a group of 10 for WSG, for example.

I would be very much entertained if Geoff Fraizer popped up from the dead and said, "Level 70 IS Hero classes! Hhahaha Geowned!"

Cute little concepts are neat the first few times, however I'd be mighty disappointed if they just copy/pasted the same ideas onto varying degrees of size. What about the battleground where the object is to kill the other side, and nothing else? Last one standing wins it, maybe add bonus honor/rep for how many you have left alive, 40v40, no premades, bam. Solid. Maybe put it in a giant version of the Thunder Dome. How about a Blast Corps style map, where the object is to protect/attack an important, mobile object, maybe 10v10 here, with some nice cover for guerilla...ish tactics. There's really no end to the amount of cool shit you can think up on a whim that would be totally awesome, and completely feasible, to implement.

I'm all for it. I'm just assuming they'll be lazy and making it easy for them If they aren't lazy and are willing to add some kickass BG's, I'll be a happy guy.

5v5 or 10v10 with a ticket style death system. First team to die 20 times loses. Would make res/soulstone/combat res very viable.

Throw in Berserking, invisible power ups, and a shieldwall powerup, maybe some other new ones.. !

Unfortunately this guy very much still works at Blizzard. He's spent the last 2 years in his hole working on the "new forums zomg!" that have like 3 more features and uglier art than the current forums.

I would probably call horseshit on Hero Classes as well, but then again they did surprise us with Horde pallies and Alliance Shamans, so I suppose anything is possible.

I thought hero classes were all but dead?

Did I miss something where they said they would be working on it again?
