raiding requires a leader, pvp autojoins you to groups, it works for pvp cause even if it autojoins you to a group of monkeys flinging feces you get rewarded for losing... pve doesnt work like that cause you get penalized for losing... im not sure that i would want pve to become like that. PvP system is like giving you the two options 1. kill geddon on first attempt, get loot, 2. wipe to geddon 3 times, get loot.

There are lots of stupid things about WoW PvP. Giving someone one mark for a loss isn't one of them. I fail to see how defeating someone in a PvP battleground is "ruining their day" .. I suppose anytime you lose it sucks, but the people who get off on greifing are in duskwood/stonetalon camping people 40 levels lower than them, not fighting in the battlegrounds.

| In the new expansion there are going to be a number of items that are going to piss off the people who are totally decked out in the final equipment available before TBC goes live. It is going to happen. |

Which is much more logical. The mention of getting sidegrades in normal end-game dungeons sounds weird until you realise the main difference between classical stuff and TBC. Sockets. Let's take an imaginary epic ilvl 90 helm: - 24sta, 24int, 24spi, 2% critic, 28dmg That's your naxx-level loot. Now, take an equally imaginary hat from an end-game dungeon. It's ilvl 73 blue, from the local Drakkisath: - 18sta, 18int, 15spi, 22dmg That's your end-game dungeon loot. Hardly sounds like a sidegrade from Naxx, does it? But then, you notice the 3 little slots on the item panel. And lo and behold, you have in your inventory 3 gems your friend crafted during E3: 1 Glowing Shadow Draenite: 5sta, +6dmg 1 gem with +1% critic 1 gem with +3mana/5s, 5int and guess what? They're the correct color for their slots, and together, they add another +8int to the helm (according to the socketing sample, correct color scheme seem to give you the equivalent of another additional fixed gem) Now, suddendly, your hat is - 23sta, 31int, 15spi, 1% crit, +3mana/5s, 28dmg Is that a sidegrade, or not? Sure looks like one to me. And it still follows the existing ilvl curve - if you just assume thet sockets don't count in itemization budget (just like enchanting doesn't count). PS: Trading well for universal dissolvers XIII, plz send tells ![]()
