No, it's a 4% chance to proc a one shot buff that has a 100% chance to parry.

I don't know why people are pussy footing with the details. It's been posted on the R&D forum already.

GUIDE TO EXPLOITING PATCHWERK

8/8 Wrath.

Get an offtank to proc the parry, turn around so he doesn't use it, don't fight trash so the parry doesn't fade, and the Hateful Strike will not consume the Parry charge. YOU WIN!

[...]

You have 1 MT and 1 OT. Through trickery/effort, wait till an OT has the 100% parry buff up.

Engage patchwerk. The MT tanks, the OT absorbs hateful strikes.

Patchwerk hateful strikes until one lands, but due to the mechanics of this ability, the 100% parry buff doesn't go away until the action is over. Sort of like when bosses "trash" and one power word shield absorbs damage for 3 attacks.

The end result being, your MT is chilling just fine. Your OT is never hit by hateful strike, thus no one pulls agro.

Rolling restarts of all realms this morning. Can you say, "fixed"?

The horde guild on my server couldn't exploit it even if they wanted too because none of their tanks had 8/8 wrath. GO GO ATTRITION! GO GO HORDE!

Send a message via AIM to Tuco
I wonder how many guilds that have killed patchwerk will be unable to next week.

Hunter is without a doubt the most useless class on Patchwerk.
Eh? I've been top10 dps on SWStats for all of our Patchwerk kills, not to mention the 3 rogues in my group getting Trueshot Aura and Furious Howl are the top 3. Of all the DPS classes on Patchwerk, warlocks are the lowest.

warlocks beyond the imp for tanks one are the most useless classes on patchwerk. I've never expected to see them fail like that on a dps benchmark.

Its a fight where almost everyone can absolutely cut loose. Warlocks don't cut loose very well thanks to their wildly innefficnet nukes. Tapping = no dpsing. I think only druids have more innefficent nukes (maybe shamen) but if those classes are nuking on patchwerk... somethings wrong.

Plus locks don't have much space for dots on Patch, almost all debuff slots are used for crucial debuffs, like TC/TF, Demo shout, JoL, etc.

Seeing the entire debuff bar with ignite, fireball, deep wounds, and pyroblast on it is pretty trick.
