OLD web based game but I loved it. Midevil time set, castles and things, shame for some reason they shut it down. Im looking for something to do while Im bored at work, anyone have some decent web based rpg's? turn based would be good.

My guild actually started in games like Monarchy, eventually setting up shop in a different game called Archmage. If you liked Monarchy, you might want to head over to www.the-reincarnation.com. It's a faithful recreation of the old Archmage game, built by some of the old players.

Cool I didn't know there were still some servers going. I had a lot of fun in Archmage back in the day.

monarchy was THE shit, back before everquest. It's a shame shareplay really destroyed the culture of the game.

I'd pay more to play that again than wow in a heartbeat!

ahh blast from the past, I played this while waiting anxiously for my Everquest Beta cd in the fall of 98. Shareplay brought the game to a new height but it quickly crumbled down.
The creator Decae remade the game using the same mechanics under a different name called Canon. http://www.evernight.com/ if youre interested.

does anyone remember U-Planet? it was at http://u-planet.tourma.com but that's now something different. it was an amazing game. One of the devs of that game runs http://www.area00.com now, and he has talked of bringing it back.
