| Euro to US server Visiting friends in Amsterdam, and wanting to play WoW (between joints of course) with them on my server which is a US server. Was wondering if anyone knew how to (if possible) to convert a Europe account to be playable on a US server. I have found the way to view the US servers by changing the realmlist.wtf, but I cant get my buddie's account to verify with that changed. If anyone knows how to manipulate any files to make this happen please let me know ![]() Thank ya |

| THE European servers are outside of paris- forget where exactly, but that is where the hosting is for the french/british/german & soon to be Spanish Servers (undergoing localization/translation now) korea is where the korean servers are china for china pretty sure taiwan for taiwan the US for the australian/new zealand servers (the "oceanic" ones) the us servers have 5 or 6 data centers they are either in virginia (for eastern and central " time zone" servers or california (if i remember correctly) for the mountain/pacific ones... course the time zone distinction does not exist anymore but still... |

I can definitely see where a "worldly" feel to a game would be great. PvP servers where there was always some action going on would be great. It's been boring leveling my current character on Deathwing even though I was super excited to be on a PvP server. So far I've only run across 10 people to kill while leveling with a buddy of mine. Given, it's only been a week and a half and we're only 27-28 and the only shared zones that we've really been in have been Ashenvale, Duskwood, etc, but hopefully will run into a bit more (besides a 60 running around his buddy and powerleveling him)

Although I'm not sure the validation system from credit card is in place/fully functionning, the validation codes, both for the game, or for any time card, are certainly different, and incompatible. To play an US server, you need to import somehow a box from the US. The UK game client, with a modified realm list, will work, but you need an US validation code to open the account. And vice-versa.
