Actually I think you have it exactly opposite. I have been a member of this forum for only a short time and a member of the Vanguard forum for some time longer.

IMHO it is the Vanguard fan who constantly degrades the WoW player base based solely on the fact that Vanguard is not WoW.

How many times have you seen people on the Vanguard forum tell people “this game is not for you go back to WoW”?
The genera is exactly the same.

I have never played WoW do not plan to ever play it, but I sure as hell don’t knock the people who do. Vanguard seemed like it was going to be a great game (that is the reason I started following it in the first place). It may still be a great game but from everything I have read, seen so far it is no where near the game I would enjoy playing.

The game I play now when I have time is DAoC. Sure it is old and outdated but I agree with the person here who said that the screen shots of VG are only slightly better then DAoC.

If VG came out today as is I would probably still play DAoC.

So far (and yes I realize we are still in beta) VG looks like a boring grind it out game with nothing new to offer except the fact that if it came out today everyone would have to start out at level 1.

Lol well I guess there goes that beta application.

While I am at it let me add this.

At least in EQ 1 from a distance I could say “oh yeah that’s an ogre’, or ‘that is a troll over there’, in Vanguard every model from a distance looks exactly like a human until you are right up on it.

Yeah that’s immersion for ya.

Last word. I agree with Brad, the last thing we need is another mega flop (paraphrasing) so I hope vanguard pulls it together in the end. I don’t however begrudge anyone who has doubts about that game. So do I.

I just hope that Brad and co are smart enough to push it back if it isn't done, and not listen to the people that want boat rides to take an hour.
