Wow! This IS a retarded argument. I would say that there's a huge chance whoever wrote it was thinking of the Sublime version because it's the version most people who have heard the song at all have heard. Don't try to argue differently...Sublime's track is still playing on the radio today. There's no guarantee one can make, but the chances are awesome.

Also, it's not a fucking pot reference, it's a reference to a song. The song is about pot. That doesn't make it a pot reference. On to something not idiotic?

The sheer amount of ignorance in this thread astounds me. There's dozen's of other more severe references in the game that would be needed to be changed in order to be Politically Correct. How about the giant peace pipes in Thunderbluff? How about the Arcanists Cookbook (Anarchists Cookbook?).
If they nerfed this because people were up in arms there would be a hell of a lot more nerfs than some lowly pot reference.
More than likely it's because the song owners requested it be removed. Blizzard has been cordial to all copyright owners that request the removal of copywritten materials from the game.
Since it doesn't directly or even indirectly reference drugs I seriously doubt that was the reason for the change. Besides, according to all those mothers violence and sex are much worse than drugs. There's more than enough sexual references to keep their panties in a bunch.
