| Registered User | Naxxramas Can't believe the patch has been out since tuesday and there hasn't even been a thread dedicated to the zone. Haven't did much of the zone, the servers and the UI's are screwy from the patch still but i find it very enjoyable thus far. As a healer im very excited about the change that started in AQ and seems to be contiued in Nax. No longer am i required to sit there and smash the same button over and over on a boss while i stand there with my eyes closed and never move. We got a couple trash drops as well and they are pretty damn nice, i know later they will end up being trash but its nice for now. The zone seems rather large and lots of bosses is always good. Aside from the old models for alot of the trash the few bosses ive seen are very nice graphic wise. So far i find the place to be very good and worth the wait, how i feel 2-3 months from now wont depend on what i think of the place but the bugs that might not yet be discovered. I dont post much, i usually just read on these forums so forgive me if my grammar and sentence structure sucks.

| MC breaking on Raz has to be the most frustrating thing ever but so far I'm liking the zone. We've only had 1 bug so far (a trash mob rotted after 2-3 mins with an epic on it) so it's definately better than AQ up to this point. |

+1 Internets | Haven't killed any bosses, yet, but that seems to be the trend for horde guilds... add concentration aura to the list of abilities that completely change encounters. Anub to 75% on our best shot, but lag/disconnects on key people sure sucked. Only real bug we've had was one of the crypt fiend adds not despawning after a wipe, which lead to a quick wipe the next attempt with three of them up. That we got him to 75% means we ought to be able to kill him once people play a bit better. Still, as i said, sure would be nice to have completely uninterruptable heals and hellfire so we could ignore the scarabs... edit: SHould say that our raid window's only 7-11 5 days a week. Most of the guilds progressing seem to have the EQ style 'It's 2 am, grab another beer and click the rez box' stamina. While a lot of us wouldn't mind that, at least some of the time, it's not feasible since college/highschool students are actually the minority. Oh, and that first garg in the plague wing was endless hilarity the first time we pulled it. Oh, and as for the abomination wing? As soon as we pulled the third room, I said on vent "Oh GOD, get the fuck away from those. Anything that moves that slow is going to kill you." and they did. :V Last edited by Pren : 06-24-2006 at 08:38 AM. |

+6 Internets | Downed Anub, probably going to hit Rezuv next, we're in no hurry. We were going to try for Faerlina, but that was hard and stuff. We got to her room and pulled the first adept pack, after assigning tanks and stuff, having no idea what they would do. Hilarity ensued, so it was off to finisht hat quest for everyone. Double gargoyle pulls..... I've been having so much more fun here than in AQ so that's good, we aren't really concerned with OMG PROGRESSION though, just trying to kill shit and have fun |

Which is also a minor gripe I have with the zone I guess. I don't think it's moody or scary at all in there and that's kind of a disappointment. Warcraft 3 did a better job at conveying the dread of the scourge than WoW for some reason.

*Just one of many other things said about alliance raiding advantages that have no bearing on the fight.

+2 Internets | It's a fun, well-balanced zone. The fights have definitely been polished and tuned from test - they're cleaner encounters that are really downright fun(the changes to Rasuvious/Anub are both great). I was surprised to see Patchwerk drop - I had expected him to last a bit longer. I think we still have some fun challenges left though. ![]()

+1 Internets | Is the zone to easy at this point? I am not playing anymore so I am not sure which ones are the boss of each wing. I know Maexxna is the spider wing boss and it is dead, and I believe Grobbulus is the fatty wing boss, and both are dead. Again, I am not playing so I have no idea if it is to easy or not. I just figured it would going to be atleast a few weeks until wing bosses where even killed, not 2 during the first week. I recall Tigole saying somewhere that Naxx was going to be a true step up in difficulty, and with the way bosses are dropping I was just curious if that is still true. Glad to hear that the overall polish on it is good though. |

+2 Internets | Grobb is nowhere close to the Fatty wing boss. Thaddius is the abomination wing boss. Quite honestly, the later stuff is being killed because people are skilled, not because it's too easy.
