Monitors & Filters the LFG channel, I've found it quite useful to just turn off the channel, but stay in it & let CTA summarize the LFG/LFM's for me.

Is there some coding issue that prevents adding in a /lfg command like /dnd and /afk? Then make the folks with /lfg on /who-able?
How about you just leave the channel isn't of bitching about it like a little girl.

what broke me were the people insisting everyone come to help defend SW from the "undead raid" going on "outside". Chuck Norris was bareable. That made me want to stab myself in the eye.

I like it on my new server. The spammage sucks and some should be banned, but joining it just when LFG or when I *might* want a group is nice.

Then again, I was horribly scarred by Jeuno and FFXI LFG.

The LFG tool is the one game mechanic I think where EQ > WoW (never played CoH). That's saying something heh.

The global channel is miles ahead of the meeting stone (which I did get one group through, but it broke up in 5 minutes before we even met up) you just have to put it in its own tabbed window and not look at it unless your LFG.

I'm all for progress but can we just get the LFG tool already.

At the very least they should restrict it by continent.
QFT -- all the mature players leave the LFG channel because the spam is obnoxious. And tbh I only want to group with mature players.

Oh the advantages of getting to come out a few years later.

Because I'm LFG and it's the only way I have to link up with people? I bet you were one of the "IT'S JUST BETA LOLZ" folks.

This should not be something that everyone autojoins into. I would hate to be just starting the game and sitting as a level 1 in Deathknell. Reading that LFG channel would be enough to make me log off and not log back in again.

I guess we can all agree that a fully functional /lfg system would be the kittens meow here, but this change with /lfg being a global channel probably took 5 minutes of coding and testing.

Coming from a software company myself, flipping a bit on a channel and making a change like that which requires almost zero resources is a quick win.
It's not the final product but it tosses something out there

Since day one I've always split apart the 'useless' channels into their own window, nested under the main chat window. This way I wouldn't miss anything but could easily hit my 'LFG' tab and see whats been going on. Having a setup like this completely concealed the global /lfg change, I had to actually go to that tab to see it take place.

But it's a step, better than having /lfg's tied to cities. That shit was gay. Nothing sucked more than sitting inside an instance and having to jump through tell-hell-loops to find replacements.

I'm still trying to figure out why you guys are trying to get a group. This is WoW we're talking about isn't it? Did they finally get around to adding some interesting group content past DM?

In other news regarding chat windows....does anyone else have a problem with the Combat Log disappearing at random and for no apparent reason?

Yea, I even have mine locked because I thought I was dragging it away and it still goes on vacation now and then. I have to revert to simple chat mode to get the windows bound together then separate and reposition them again to get it back. Not a big deal, but yes I've noticed it.

They should just have a global /ooc channel for people who want to BS/spam about whatever and a seperate global LFG channel. That and put back the /lfg flags from beta.
